JAKARTA — Eid al-Fitr 1445 H is just counting the days, joy radiates in the hearts of travelers who will and are traveling back to their hometowns. Joy is felt in every corner of the terminal, airport, and station, creating an atmosphere full of happiness and gratitude. This was also present at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, East Jakarta, precisely at the Dompet Dhuafa Mudik Post.
In welcoming the moment of gathering families and relatives during Lebaran, Dompet Dhuafa provides a Family Friendly Mudik Post right at the Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, East Jakarta. This initiative not only provides a place to rest, but also a shelter for those in need.
By providing comfortable facilities and friendly services, Dompet Dhuafa seeks to provide support to travelers so that they can continue their journey in safety and comfort and celebrate special moments with loved ones.
This was conveyed by Ahmad Juwaini as Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation Board. He said, at this Family Friendly Mudik Post, Dompet Dhuafa provided assistance to travelers so that they could undergo their journey more comfortably. This is a real effort to ensure that travelers can feel helped and guaranteed during their journey to their destination.
“So this is actually part of Dompet Dhuafa’s service to the community. Because of how in this homecoming activity, there are so many people involved and it is Dompet Dhuafa’s obligation to help in the journey of the Indonesian people. we want to make homecoming something comfortable, safe, and fun. That’s why Dompet Dhuafa has also been doing this homecoming service for more than 15 years, “said Ahmad Juwaini when met by Dompet Dhuafa at the Family Friendly Mudik Post, Kampung Rambutan on Monday (4/8/2024).
Meanwhile, Dr. Zainab Aqila as the Cuma-Cuma Health Service Team (LKC) revealed, at the Family Friendly Mudik Post organized by Dompet Dhuafa, various services are provided for travelers with a variety of choices. The family-friendly concept not only includes aspects of comfort, but also the health and needs of children.
“There, health check-up services, child nutrition packages, vitamins, and hygiene kits are available. In addition, there is also a play area for children and a warm post that provides drinks, coffee and tea. At the time of iftar, there will be food, takjil for breaking the fast. Well, for people who need cellphone service we also provide, plus a free charger corner. At the Dompet Dhuafa Mudik Post everything is free,” he said.
Kampung Rambutan Terminal looked crowded with travelers on the second day of Eid al-Fitr 1445 H. Referring to information on the number of passengers for Lebaran transportation in 2024 at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, until Sunday (7/4/2024) a total of 5,617 travelers had arrived. The details, as many as 398 buses covering 2,393 passengers arrived in Jakarta, while as many as 163 buses covering 3,225 left Jakarta. The passenger number was the highest when compared to the previous days.
Meanwhile, according to Dr. Aqila, it is estimated that around 350 people visit the Family Friendly Mudik Post every day. This is due to the availability of around 200 food packages and around 150 people who utilize the health check service, and some of them also use the nutrition package service. With this combination, the number of travelers who come every day can reach around 300 people.

It should be noted that the Dompet Dhuafa Family Friendly Mudik Post is not only at Kampung Rambutan Terminal, but also spread at six other points. Among them are in Serang (Toyomerto Gas Station), Bandung (Al-Mahdiyyiin Mosque), Cirebon (Cirebon Power Park Rest Area), Banyumas (At-Taqwa Ajibarang Great Mosque), Banyuwangi (Abnais Sabil Banyuwangi Mosque), and Jakarta (Pulo Gebang Terminal).
“The existence of this Family Friendly Mudik Post Service is very enthusiastic, especially parents who have children can let their children play here without having to hold gadgets and there is also takjil and iftar food. Because we have health checks, many come for consultation, because many have traveled far and more than 30 hours on the bus. And before they leave, we offer to check their health,” continued Dr. Aqila.
Helda (37) felt the free services of the Dompet Dhuafa Mudik Post. She wanted to return home to Ranau, Palembang, South Sumatra with her small family. In Jakarta, he and his family live in the Cipete area.
Helda said that this was the first time she had experienced Dompet Dhuafa’s Family Friendly Mudik Post service. Helda, who was waiting for the departure bus since 9 am, felt helped and the various services at the Mudik Post succeeded in overcoming her son Fahri’s boredom.

“I’m happy, from above I accidentally saw here. He (Fahri) immediately said he wanted to come here, because he has therapy and his toys are almost the same as this. So, he’s a speech delay child, so he’s used to the toy and he was immediately happy,” she said.
“He (Fahri) is just happy when he meets toys. At first he didn’t know because he didn’t go to this area, then when he saw that there was this (playground), he went straight here. The child also likes socialization, lots of friends. So he doesn’t get bored while waiting,” she added.
As an immigrant and a housewife, Helda feels helped by these facilities.
“It’s good, so I can help if someone is in need, I have just experienced it this time, I just found out about it. When I found out that everything was free, I was even more happy! I’m happy that the facilities are complete. So the children don’t get bored and don’t just whine. They were fussing all the time, so when I found out, I immediately brought them here.
