BOGOR — Dompet Dhuafa together with Muda Camp and Tafakur Trip held a Camp Bareng event with the theme “With You, My Life Means More”, at Tekad Camp, Megamendung Bogor, on Saturday-Sunday (5-6/11/2022). The participants who attended this event totaled 43 people. Most of them were university and college students, as well as the general public. They came from various regions including Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi, and even Lampung.
In this event, the material was filled by several speakers who understood in their fields. The speakers were Zaini Tafrikhan as the Corporate & Partnership of Waqf, Dean Raharjov as the Founder of Pendaku Muslim Community, Rizal Wahid as the Founder of @jagopranikah, and Sebastian Wahyu as the author of 3 Ayah Rumah Tangga books.
Zaini explained to the participants about waqf. “Basically, alms are divided into 2 (two). The first is obligatory alms, namely zakat, and sunnah alms, one of which is waqf. Zakat is the money we spend to purify our wealth, while waqf is the money we have in any form to be given to nazir as the manager to be utilized productively by the beneficiaries until the end of time,” Zaini explained.
He then explained about waqf during the historical era of the Prophet’s companions. At that time, in the Arabian Peninsula, people liked to drink zam-zam water. At some point, the zam-zam wells began to dry up and there was only one well that tasted like zam-zam water. Unfortunately, this well was managed by a Jew named Raumah. The Prophet then said that whoever wants to give alms then free one of Raumah’s wells and guarantee heaven, At that time, Usman bin Affan was the one who came forward to buy the well and was endowed for the needs of the people at that time.
Dompet Dhuafa, as a waqf nazir institution, has managed many waqf assets productively. Through integration with zakat and other funds, Dompet Dhuafa’s waqf assets benefit the poor. Zaini mentioned that Dompet Dhuafa is currently promoting the Wakaferse program, Wakaf Universe.
“Dompet Dhuafa has a program called Wakaferse. We want to introduce to all our friends that with all the facilities, with all the Dompet Dhuafa programs that we have, we make it easy for friends. How do you do it? It’s very easy if friends have mobile banking, whatever it is, you can directly donate to Dompet Dhuafa, “said Zaini.
The event for 2 (two) days also ran fun and smoothly. Irfan Dzulhij as the chief executive of Camp Bareng thanked Dompet Dhuafa for supporting this event. “We are very grateful to Dompet Dhuafa and hope that in the next event we can continue to work together better,” concluded Irfan.
