“Many hospital buildings were destroyed and health services are very difficult to access in Gaza. Not long ago, in November 2024, Dompet Dhuafa’s medical volunteer in Gaza, Dr. Mohammed J. M. Shabat, passed away. The Dompet Dhuafa medical volunteer was martyred along with his family today in an effort to carry out his humanitarian duties,” Akbar said on Wednesday (12/02/2025).

Previously, in June 2024, Dompet Dhuafa together with FPEA had successfully built and started the operation of Medical Posts in Palestine, including a hemodialysis clinic in North Gaza. The clinic has provided polio vaccination services to 400 children under the age of 10. And there are at least 4,300 people who have benefited from the presence of the Medical Post. Medical services were provided to children, women, adults, and the elderly.

“At that time, the Indonesian Hospital and Kamal Adwan Hospital in North Gaza were under repair due to the Israeli invasion. We are committed to continue helping the Palestinian people, especially in difficult situations like this,” said a representative of Dompet Dhuafa.

“This medical post is expected to provide easier and faster access to health for those in need,” he added.
