PRINGSEWU, LAMPUNG — Ahead of Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriah, Dompet Dhuafa Lampung strives to prepare healthy and quality sacrificial animals. Various efforts to ensure the health and quality of sacrificial animals have also been carried out, including vaccinating prospective sacrificial animals.
Together with the Animal Health Center (Puskeswan) Region 3 of Pringsewu Regency, Dompet Dhuafa Lampung synergized to vaccinate livestock on Tuesday (23/05/2023). Located in the sheepfold of DD Farm Livestock Center Lampung, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung, veterinarians also help monitor and inject vaccines for sheep.
“This vaccination is a form of Dompet Dhuafa Lampung commitment to providing healthy and best sacrificial animals for sacrificers,” said Dompet Dhuafa Lampung Branch Leader Yogi Achmad Fajar.

According to the Head of Puskeswan Area 3 Pringsewu Regency, drh Suhatiah, this vaccination aims to ensure that sacrificial animals are healthy. Not only that, but this vaccination also aims to anticipate and prevent the spread of Mouth and Hoof Disease (FMD) in livestock.
“This FMD virus can impact livestock deaths and affect the economic value of livestock for the community. Therefore, we appreciate Dompet Dhuafa Lampung for vaccinating. This vaccination is a form of commitment and shared responsibility to ensure the health of sacrificial animals. God willing, sacrificial animals are healthy and avoid FMD,” she explained.

At Eid al-Adha 1444 H, Dompet Dhuafa Lampung prepared more than 300 sheep for the Sacrificial Animal Stocking (THK) program. Through THK, Dompet Dhuafa Lampung will distribute sacrificial animals to various needy areas, even to remote areas of Lampung.
