SERANG, BANTEN – In celebration of World Mental Health Day 2023, Aku Temanmu collaborated with the Student Association of the Guidance and Counseling Department of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA) Banten to host the Mental Health Festival (FKM) themed “Mental Health is a Universal Human Right” on Friday (13/10/2023).
Aku Temanmu is a social organization that is part of the Dompet Dhuafa Banten education program, focusing on mental health issues.

As an initial step, the Mental Health Festival began with a “Mental Health Campaign” held on the campus of FKIP UNTIRTA on 13 October 2023. This campaign aimed to voice the importance of mental health and promote the series of events for FKM 2023. The activity took place from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM local time, involving more than 40 volunteers from Aku Temanmu and HMJ BK Untirta.
The Mental Health Campaign featured various activities, including speeches on mental health issues amid crowds and an archery challenge to gauge individual awareness of the importance of mental health.

Furthermore, there was a “Toss Sehat Mental” challenge, an engaging segment designed to educate and entertain the public. The event also included mental health speeches circulating around the campus while engaging in self-talk.
“With this activity, we hope to provide widespread benefits to the community, raising awareness about mental health and contributing to the excitement of the Mental Health Festival on 29 October 2023,” said Suci Wulandari, the Person in Charge of the event. (Dompet Dhuafa/Banten/Anndini)
