KENDARI, SOUTHEAST SULAWESI – Asia Baru Cake Bakery delivered a donation for Palestine through Dompet Dhuafa Southeast Sulawesi on Wednesday (25/10/2023). The donation, officially made on the same day, is intended for fellow Muslim brothers and sisters who are survivors of the increasingly inhumane Israeli violence in Palestine.
The donation by Asia Baru Cake Bakery is motivated by solidarity with fellow Muslims in Palestine. As is known, the number of victims has been increasing. More than 1,100 people have become martyrs, including children, and thousands are injured due to Israeli bombardments from 7 October 2023 to 12 October 2023. In just a matter of days, the number of victims drastically increased. Therefore, Asia Baru Cake Bakery, which has 7 outlets in Kendari and Muna, channeled a donation for Palestine through Dompet Dhuafa.
“We feel that those in Palestine are our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters who need help. Therefore, Asia Baru Cake Bakery is channeling a donation for Palestine,” stated Aslan, the owner of Asia Baru Cake Bakery.
“We see that the condition in Palestine is critical and requires assistance, so we felt compelled to help Palestine,” he added.
A donation of Rp100,000,000 (one hundred million Rupiah) was handed over directly by Aslan, the owner of Asia Baru Cake Bakery, at the Asia Baru Cake Bakery Sao Sao outlet in Kendari City. This donation is hoped to be well-utilized by the survivors in Palestine.
“This is our way of helping those in Palestine, to be used in their struggle for life and the Islamic faith,” Aslan said.
The handover of the donation for Palestine by Asia Baru Cake Bakery was warmly received by Dompet Dhuafa Sultra. This donation will be channeled to Palestine through the humanitarian program of Dompet Dhuafa in Palestine.
“We appreciate the concern of the Asia Baru Cake Bakery Family for channeling donations to help our brothers and sisters in Palestine. We also thank them for entrusting their donation to Dompet Dhuafa Sultra,” said Hassan Afif, the Branch Head of Dompet Dhuafa Sultra.

Hassan also mentioned that the donations collected from all community elements through Dompet Dhuafa Sultra will be channeled through Dompet Dhuafa’s humanitarian program in Palestine.
