JAKARTA — Towards the time of breaking the fast, Thursday (4/4/2024), Dompet Dhuafa invited reporters from various media to embrace the problem of hunger around. The previously launched program, Lapor Lapar! became the main driver in this discussion.
This initiative reflects the commitment of Dompet Dhuafa and journalists and the media in facing the challenges of poverty and hunger that are still rampant in society. This effort is a call to action, considering that there are still many hungry people who continue to struggle to get enough and proper food.
In the last week of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah, Dompet Dhuafa invited the inkers to break the fast together. This light agenda, which was attended by 40 journalists across mass media, took place casually, which was opened through a discussion of the Lapor Lapar program. The enthusiasm of the journalists was further fueled when they were faced with a new challenge, namely sharing takjil with Dompet Dhuafa’s Darling (Mobile Kitchen) fleet in the Blok M area, Jakarta, on Thursday (4/4/2024) evening.

“We thank all media partners. In the midst of their busy schedules, they can still attend our iftar invitation. We realize that without the contribution of media colleagues, we (Dompet Dhuafa) are nothing. Most recently we launched the Lapor Lapar kindness movement program which also colored Ramadan this year, “said Etika Setiawanti, always the Secretary of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation Board in a light discussion at the ‘Media Gathering, Ramadan Closer’ event.
In a casual discussion held by the Dompet Dhuafa team, including Syamsul Ardiansyah as Senior Officer of the Strategic Alliance, Etika Setiawanti as Secretary of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation and Bambang Suherman, First Vice Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, an alarming social reality was highlighted. They highlighted the conditions around Tugu Monas, where many still have difficulty meeting nutritional and nutritional needs. Through the Lapor Lapar program, Dompet Dhuafa is committed to playing an active role in overcoming this hunger problem, through collaboration with community groups up to the RT / RW level.

At the end of the session, after spiritual inspiration by Ustaz Ahmad Pranggono, the media crew was invited to share takjil for road users in the Blok M area with Darling Dompet Dhuafa. The media crew consisting of PWI administrators, journalists from Antara News Agency, Kompas.com, NET TV, Republika, MNC Network, Bens Radio, CNN Indonesia, Jawapos, and a number of other online media simultaneously distributed takjil. The action also sparked a spirit of volunteerism and service for journalists.
