In his remarks, Noor Awaluddin Asjhar said that this activity was part of the Mobile Kitchen (Darling) program, which has been taking place in various places. Darling is one of the social programs launched by Dompet Dhuafa to provide food availability for people in need. This time, LPM collaborated with the North Seribu Islands Health Center and the local government to carry out this program.
Dompet Dhuafa’s attention to health covers all segments of society, from toddlers to the elderly. To the people of Kelapa Island Village, especially mothers, Awal emphasized that children are the nation’s next generation. Therefore, they must be healthy and strong children from an early age.
“The mothers who touch the most and know the child’s development and education must understand the needs of their children,” said Awal.
For this social activity, the Head of the North Seribu Islands Sub-district, Ismail S.I.P., gave such a high appreciation. In his opinion, healthy is indeed expensive. Therefore, the existence of this activity is precious to the community. In addition to socialization for healthy living, the distribution of nutrition packages will be a stimulus for residents to strive to consume nutritious and healthy foods.
“Healthy living is expensive. Therefore, we are very happy with the nutrition program for stunting survivors and healthy living socialization held by the Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Institute (LPM),” he said.
After the event, the Head of the Public Health Unit Service Unit of the North Seribu Islands Health Center, Ratu Juwita, S.K.M. said she really welcomed the synergy carried out by LPM Dompet Dhuafa. “We hope that this good synergy will continue,” he said.
Acting as an extension agent for healthy living socialization at this event, M Priagung, S.K.M., as a team from the health center, revealed that stunting has short-term and long-term impacts. Its short-term effects can affect the situation of failing to grow, both in height and inappropriate weight. In addition, it can also impact growth, motor movements, and inappropriate metabolism. Then the long term is the decline of intellectual understanding. (Dompet Dhuafa / LPM / Muthohar)
