BOGOR, WEST JAVA — The Free Healthcare Service (LKC) of Dompet Dhuafa held a reception to commemorate its 22nd anniversary on Wednesday (22/11/2023) at the Madina Zone in Parung. The 22nd anniversary celebration of LKC carried the theme of “Transforming to Heal the Nation,” joined by 12 LKC branches across Indonesia.
For 22 years, starting from the aspiration to provide healthcare solutions for the underprivileged, LKC has continued to grow. Now, it is actively advancing on the path of its three main pillars: service, advocacy, and empowerment. LKC will continue to transform holistically, as health belongs to everyone.
The event was graced with appreciations from various dignitaries including the Initiator and Chairman of Dompet Dhuafa’s Board of Trustees, Parni Hadi; Board Member, Andi Makmur Makka; Chairman of YDDR, Rahmad Riyadi; Director of Social Services, Da’wah, and Culture, Ahmad Shonhaji; Secretary of the Integrated Healthy House Foundation, Iwan Ridwan; and the Head of LKC, Martina Tirta Sari. Additionally, guests from various stakeholders, including benefit recipients, were present.
Echoing the theme of LKC’s 22nd anniversary, Parni Hadi in his remark mentioned that the transformation aims to enhance the performance of Dompet Dhuafa’s quality and services in healthcare. He expressed great gratitude for the growth of healthcare professionals within LKC.
“Please continue to grow. We grow together,” he exclaimed.
He also thanked the donors, as Dompet Dhuafa would find it challenging to serve the underprivileged without them. Equally important are the benefit recipients, without whom it would be difficult to channel kindness. In this context, Dompet Dhuafa merely serves as an intermediary of goodwill.
“Continue to improve service quality. The aim of transformation is to enhance healthcare services. Improving services requires efficiency. Efficiency needs transparency. And for that, supervision is necessary,” he motivated the LKC Dompet Dhuafa staff.
Meanwhile, Iwan Ridwan emphasized that 22 years is a significant period for an institution or organizational unit, marking Dompet Dhuafa’s maturity through various challenges and obstacles encountered in delivering healthcare to the underprivileged community.
“Throughout its journey, LKC has made significant contributions in promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative activities, through collaborations with various parties,” he revealed.

During the solemn event, LKC symbolically handed over hearing aids to Nuri Maulida, a 10-year-old child diagnosed with deafness since the age of four. Additionally, a wheelchair was presented to Muzhaki, a 16-year-old with cerebral palsy since birth.
As part of the 11th-anniversary series of LKC events, various activities were conducted by the 12 LKC regions, including commemorations of the National Health Day consisting of exercise, healthy diet cooking demos, and blood donation.
On its anniversary day, all 12 LKC regions simultaneously held first-aid training for emergencies, aiming to enable the community to mitigate health emergency situations. (Dompet Dhuafa/Muthohar)
