JAKARTA — Dompet Dhuafa has once again been entrusted with a mission of goodwill from PT Mizan Publika (Mizan Group), a parent company encompassing several businesses including publishing, distribution, as well as film and digital ventures. On Wednesday (24/1/2024), the team from PT Mizan Publika visited the Philanthropy Building in South Jakarta to meet with Dompet Dhuafa and to hand over a donation aimed at realizing concrete actions to support Palestine.
Irfan Bagir, the GM of New Media & Digital Initiative at PT Mizan Publika, shared with the Dompet Dhuafa team that morning that Mizan is championing a humanitarian effort with Readers (Netizens) for the People of Palestine. Mizan organized a humanitarian donation program through each purchase of Mizan Group books during the period of 23—30 November 2023, where 100% of the profits would be donated to Palestine.
“The hashtag #NetizanforHumanity came about because we felt that initially, many were afraid to speak up. Eventually, we took the courage, Mizan cares to speak up. #NetizanforHumanity symbolizes Mizan’s humanitarian action together with our loyal readers for Palestine. The genocide committed by Israel against Palestine is barbaric,” Irfan revealed.

“By purchasing books and participating in this program, Netizens are clearly siding with humanity. Helping others with what we can is certainly much better than not helping at all,” Irfan continued.
Welcoming this initiative, Etika Setiawanti, the Secretary of the Board of Yayasan Dompet Dhuafa Republika, outlined several of Dompet Dhuafa’s humanitarian programs and actions in Palestine. She also expressed appreciation and gratitude for the goodwill entrusted by Mizan through Dompet Dhuafa.
“We are grateful to receive this humanitarian mandate from Mizan for Palestine today. This marks our first synergy which we hope will open doors to other broader benefits. Dompet Dhuafa is open to all opportunities for synergy to strengthen all elements from the ideas proposed,” Etika stated.
Citing an article from the Mizan.com channel, the contribution of book readers is very important to alleviate the burden on those in Palestine. Book activists receive original Mizan books. At the same time, readers also prove where their allegiance lies.
