INCHEON, SOUTH KOREA – Incheon, a cosmopolitan city located on the western edge of South Korea, exudes an extraordinary charm. Known for its busy international port and modern attractions, the city also holds great natural wonders. Among its best sights is the summit of Mount Subong, which offers a mesmerising perspective of not only natural beauty, but also spiritual wisdom.
As a Dai Ambassador who travels the world to appreciate its natural beauty and rich culture, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to explore Incheon’s natural charms. The journey to the top of Mount Subong is an enthralling one. Surrounded by the green expanse of the mountains and accompanied by the refreshing ripples of the wind, every step provided an uplifting inner calm.
Arriving at the summit, a mesmerising view came my way. The city of Incheon stretched out below with sparkling lights highlighting the busy streets and bustling harbour. But it wasn’t just the urban panorama that captivated me, the surrounding natural scenery did too. The endless blue sea blended with the clear sky, creating an enchanting harmony.
But perhaps the most compelling part of the experience is the spiritual feel that pervades the place. Here, atop the towering peaks, we feel the presence of something greater than ourselves. The wonders of nature wash over us with a hushed calm, making us realise how small we are in the face of such a vast and beautiful universe.
The undulating, seemingly endless green hills invite us to contemplate and appreciate the greatness of nature. Amongst the glittering lights of the city, there are opportunities to reflect and contemplate the meaning of our lives, as well as our role in this greater existence.
In moments like these, I feel like I’ve reached the pinnacle of spirituality. It’s not just a physical journey to the top of the mountain, but also a journey towards inner peace and a deeper understanding of ourselves and our relationship with nature.

As a Dompet Dhuafa Dai Ambassador, I am honoured to have been given the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Incheon, South Korea, from the top of Mount Subong. This experience has given me inspiration and a deep understanding of the importance of preserving the beauty of nature and appreciating the spiritual wonders tucked away in every corner of this earth.
