CHAMPA, VIETNAM — Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Muhadjir Effendy, paid a friendly visit to the Land of the Blue Dragon, Vietnam. The Coordinating Minister also brought a group consisting of Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Denny Abdi, Dompet Dhuafa, Rumah Zakat, DT Peduli, LazisMu, and Baznas.
During the visit, the group visited Champa City, where the Champa Muslim Community resides. The arrival of the Coordinating Minister for PMK along with Islamic philanthropic organizations in Indonesia was welcomed by the people of Champa, just like welcoming a distant relative who has not been seen for a very long time.

This encounter then led to a discussion between the two parties. Mrs. Merry as the Chairperson of the An Giang Islamic Community of Vietnam conveyed many things related to their concerns. One of the concerns expressed by Mrs. Merry was about the need for her community to be able to get higher education.
Gayung welcomed. Mrs. Merry’s complaint was received and answered directly by the Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam and the Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture. Both of them also conveyed the mission of coming to Vietnam with Islamic philanthropic organizations in Indonesia, namely to look for opportunities for cooperation. Mainly in the field of education.

Prof. Muhadjir said, “With me are Muhammadiyah, Baznas, Dompet Dhuafa, DT Peduli, and Rumah Zakat. They are members of Islamic philanthropic organizations that have a commitment to share with anyone anywhere.”
Dompet Dhuafa through Dian Mulyadi as Corporate Secretary of Dompet Dhuafa also welcomed the visit to Champa City, “The potential for diplomatic cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam is very wide open. Especially in the field of education. We are grateful to the Indonesian Government, the Embassy, and the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh, who have involved Dompet Dhuafa in this visit.” (Dompet Dhuafa)
