Dompet Dhuafa and BPKH Roll Out Thousands of Maslahat During Ramadan 1444 H

JAKARTA — Coinciding with the 20th day of Ramadan 1444 H, Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji (BPKH) launched the Ramadan 1444 H/2023 M Welfare program on Tuesday (11/4/2023), at BJ Habibie Ballroom, Muamalat Tower, East Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

The BPKH benefit program worth Rp15,873,124,750 will be distributed to remote provinces in Indonesia through 11 benefit partners, including Dompet Dhuafa, Baznas, Lazismu, Lazisnu-Nu Care, Laznas PPPA Darul Quran, Lazuq, Baitul Maal Muamalat, DT Peduli, Rumah Zakat, Solo Peduli, and the Indonesian Mosque Council.

Present at the launch of this program were the Director of Communication & Technology of Dompet Dhuafa, Prima Hadi Putra, Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia represented by Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi, Head of BPKH Implementing Agency, Fadlul Imansyah, Director General of PHU, Hilman Latief, Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR, Ashabul Kahfi, and also representatives from each partner institution.

Dompet Dhuafa itself since the beginning of Ramadan has gradually rolled out benefit programs with BPKH. Most recently, Dompet Dhuafa has just handed over the tower construction program, DKM office, paving block procurement and other supporting facilities at the Baitul Ihsan Mosque, Sukarasa Village, Cilaku Village, Tenjo District, Bogor Regency on Friday (31/3/2023).

Dompet Dhuafa also expressed his gratitude for the trust received. Director of Communication & Technology of Dompet Dhuafa, Prima Hadi Putra emphasized that Dompet Dhuafa will be trusted to run this program as well as possible. He also hopes that Dompet Dhuafa and BPKH can hold other benefit programs in the future.

“Alhamdulillah, Dompet Dhuafa received a mandate from BPKH to manage benefit funds and distribute them as benefit programs. This is a mandate that we must carry out as well as possible which will open a space for collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and BPKH in other programs,” he said.

Concretely, Dompet Dhuafa will distribute as many as 5000 Qur’an mushafs to the following regions: Banten, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi. Then as many as 900 food packages and 900 gift packages of prayer tools will be distributed to the Banten, Lampung, East Java, and Central Java regions.

These aid programs are aimed at all levels of society, ranging from mosque congregations, taklim assemblies, Muslims and mustahik in minority areas, older people to children with special needs.

Head of BPKH, Fadlul Imansyah stated this activity is an effort of BPKH to collaborate with benefit partners in providing benefits and benefits for the community in general and Muslims in particular.

“In the blessed month and coinciding with the night of Laitul Qadar is the right moment to share with fellow Muslims so that the blessings of Ramadan can be achieved and get abundant rewards from Allah Almighty,” said Fadlul.

He said that the BPKH benefit program uses the value of the benefits of the People’s Endowment Fund or Dana Abadi Umat (DAU), which is fixed and the benefits will continue to grow. So that no initial deposit funds are used for benefit activities.

On the same occasion, Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas in his speech delivered by his deputy, Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi, conveyed the value of the benefits of the Ummah Endowment Fund must be appropriately managed, trustfully, and transparently.
