BANDAR LAMPUNG, LAMPUNG – Dompet Dhuafa Lampung, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEBI) at Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Intan Lampung (UIN RIL), has signed a scholarship agreement for the ‘Kantin Kontainer’ student entrepreneurship laboratory program. This agreement was formalized in a signing ceremony held on Thursday (19/10/2023) at the FEBI UIN RIL campus in Sukarame, Bandar Lampung City.
In attendance at the signing were Tulus Suryanto, Dean of FEBI UIN RIL; Yogi Achmad Fajar, Branch Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Lampung; as well as Vice Deans and Department Heads within FEBI UIN RIL. Yogi Achmad Fajar stated that this collaboration is aimed at strengthening human resources and community service by both parties.
A primary feature of this collaboration (Dompet Dhuafa Lampung and FEBI UIN RIL) is the launch of an entrepreneurship scholarship program for students who manage a canteen built from a container. Yogi elucidated that students would receive scholarships generated from the canteen’s operations. In addition to financial support, the students will acquire business management skills, thereby enhancing their entrepreneurial capabilities.
“Our hope is that these students can complete their studies with the scholarships they receive. Furthermore, we anticipate that they will become individuals who not only seek employment but are also capable of creating job opportunities, drawing from their experience in running the canteen business,” Yogi commented.
Yogi further elaborated that this initiative is a novel and creative application of Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf (Ziswaf) funds to aid underprivileged students in entrepreneurship.
“The Container Canteen is an innovative approach to support underprivileged students. It also functions as an entrepreneurial laboratory for FEBI UIN RIL students. We extend our gratitude to the entire FEBI UIN RIL family for their warm reception and hope this collaboration continues to flourish and expand within the FEBI UIN RIL framework,” Yogi added.

Tulus Suryanto, Dean of FEBI UIN RIL, expressed his enthusiasm for the program, noting that the Container Canteen initiative will cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among students. He also highlighted that the scholarship is expected to provide significant support to underprivileged students.
“This is a remarkable program that can greatly assist underprivileged students in completing their education. We hope that these initiatives truly benefit the students, while also fostering and reinforcing their motivation in the field of entrepreneurship and cultivating a sense of self-reliance,” Tulus stated.
Tulus also expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa Lampung and FEBI UIN RIL, and he voiced optimism for future cooperative efforts.
“As the dean, I am extremely appreciative and grateful to Dompet Dhuafa Lampung for facilitating this partnership and selecting us as collaborators. We look forward to the continuation of this collaboration and hope that an increasing number of students and the surrounding community can take advantage of the programs offered by Dompet Dhuafa Lampung,” Tulus concluded.
