BANTEN — Dompet Dhuafa, together with jalanpulang.id distributed meat alms to remote areas of Banten on Saturday (29/7/2023). In this collaboration program, the Dompet Dhuafa Banten Team distributed lamb meat from DD Farm Banten cages to students at the Al-Mukarromah Islamic Boarding School in Sirongge Village, Angsana Village, Mancak District, Serang Regency.
In this Islamic Boarding School, 57 students stay. On the other hand, hundreds of temporary students also do not stay. In addition, meat was distributed to dozens of residents around the Islamic Boarding School in need. Among the people who received were those from low-income people, especially widows.
The Dompet Dhuafa Team had to travel by car for approximately two hours from DD Farm‘s cage in Serang to get to the location. Not only that, the location is also difficult to find on maps. The road to the village is filled with steep rocks, so the team must continue to be careful.
The head of Islamic Boarding School Al-Mukarromah, Ustaz Sam’un, said the school he mainly held was filled with children from underprivileged families. They consist of various levels of education, ranging from elementary school (SD) grade 4 to vocational school. This Islamic Boarding School, established for ten years, has graduated many students who memorize the Qur’an.
To Dompet Dhuafa, Ustaz Sam’un said, “We as leaders would like to thank you very much for the visit from Dompet Dhuafa and jalanpulang.id for the alms of meat given. Hopefully, we will all always be victorious, successful, and blessed in our lives.”
Meanwhile, Alfi Azizi, a Digital Partnership Officer, explained that this program came thanks to the kindness of donors who wanted to share meat alms with people who rarely could enjoy meat. The students in Ponpes Al-Mukarromah are one of them.

Based on the monitoring results, students here can only enjoy meat once a year, Eid al-Adha. That is also if someone organizes sacrifices and distributes them to the students.
“Often eat rice, tempeh, tamarind vegetable soup, salted fish,” said one of the MTs class 1 students, Deni Permana.
With a happy face, Deni also welcomed the arrival of the Dompet Dhuafa Team. He seemed eager to help move the meat packages brought by the team. According to him, his friends will be happy because tomorrow there will be a meat menu on the plate where he eats food.
“It’s nice that tomorrow there will be a side dish of meat,” said the student from Dukuh Village, Gunung Sari District. (Dompet Dhuafa/Muthohar)
