JAKARTA — For a number of foundations and orphanages, donors are the main pillars so that orphans and orphans can continue. Dompet Dhuafa as a medium for the kindness of donors also opens wide the doors of collaboration to be able to synergize with its good partners. Toshiba – an electronic production company – is one of the good partners who synergizes with Dompet Dhuafa to move social activities for orphans and poor people.
The social cooperation between Dompet Dhuafa and Toshiba took place during Ramadan 1445 AH. Yes, not only achieving achievements in developing innovation and technology, Toshiba also carries out corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives with a program entitled “Toshiba Sharing Kindness Ramadan #SharingMatters“.
With the tagline #SharingMatters, Toshiba emphasizes the importance of sharing to build togetherness and social awareness, especially in the holy month of Ramadan. As part of the CSR campaign, Toshiba distributed food packages and prayer equipment to several orphanages supported by the Dompet Dhuafa foundation in four cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang and Yogyakarta.
“It is an honor for Toshiba Lifestyle Indonesia to collaborate with Dompet Dhuafa in organizing our CSR program. Thanks to the support of Dompet Dhuafa, we are able to share kindness to those in need. Thus, this collaboration can strengthen Toshiba Lifestyle Indonesia’s commitment to have a real positive impact on society,” said Hafizh Maulana, Head of Marketing Communication Toshiba Lifestyle Indonesia, Tuesday (2/4/2024).
This move is in line with Toshiba’s commitment to have a positive impact on the communities in which the company operates, especially during key moments such as Ramadan. In addition to distributing food packages and prayer equipment, Toshiba will also donate refrigerators to orphanages.
According to Ahmad Faqih, Dompet Dhuafa’s Resource Mobilization Manager, supporting orphans is a noble character. Islam has taught its adherents to be able to respect and support orphans. In this era, there are many ways to provide tangible evidence of loving orphans, one of which is the collaboration carried out by Dompet Dhuafa with Toshiba.
