BALI — Volunteering your time and energy to teach the Qur’an to students is an act of kindness that no human being can value. This is especially true during Ramadan, a holy and glorious month that Muslims around the world look forward to.

There are so many blessings and reward opportunities that can be obtained in this month. The multiplication of every reward for good deeds in the month of Ramadan is the reason for Dompet Dhuafa Bali together with ICMI Youth Orwil Bali and MUI Commission for Women, Youth and Families of Bali Province to share.

These three agencies collaborated to distribute 2.5 tonnes of rice to 250 Quran teachers throughout Denpasar, Bali, on Sunday (17/3/2024) at Wistara Family and Cafe. This action was rolled out as a sign of love to the teachers who sincerely spend their time continuing the struggle of the Prophet Muhammad to teach the words of Allah SWT. Each Quran teacher received 10 kilograms of rice.

Dompet Dhuafa Bali Branch Manager, Fadly Hassan in his speech said, this agenda is a form of love and a sign of gratitude to Koran teachers who have volunteered their time and energy to teach the Qur’an to their students. In addition, the Quran recitation teachers are expected to continue to be enthusiastic about teaching the Qur’an.

‘Ustaz and ustazah, please don’t look at the items we give, but this is a sign of our love and gratitude to ustaz/ustazah so that they continue to be enthusiastic about teaching the Qur’an to their students,’ he said.

As if on cue, Khairul Mahfuz as the main donor of this activity also gave the same message. He said, this is a sign of love and gratitude to the Quran recitation teachers who are always eager to teach the young generation of Islam, especially in Denpasar, to know the Qur’an. Khairul then advised the young generation not to forget the importance of the Qur’an as the foundation and guide of life.

‘It is true what Mas Fadly said, this is a sign of our love and gratitude to Quran teachers who are willing to sacrifice their time and energy to teach the Qur’an to the younger generation of Islam in Denpasar. Learning the Qur’an is our shared responsibility. Do not let our young generation forget the Qur’an at the end of this era,’ he exclaimed.
