SYRIA — The Dompet Dhuafa humanitarian team and the Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia (KBRI) di Suriah packs aid packages at one of the food packaging warehouses in Damascus, Syria, Friday (31/3/2023). This humanitarian aid is the second phase of assistance by Dompet Dhuafa, which had previously been delivered along with the aid brought by two Garuda Indonesia aircraft on February 22, 2023.
A total of 1,500 food packages containing canned food and basic foodstuffs were packed in boxes. Furthermore, thousands of aid packages were transported by truck to be sent to earthquake-affected areas. There are at least 3 locations targeted, namely Aleppo, Latakia, and areas on the Syrian-Turkish border.

Rama Adi Wibowo as the Coordinator of the Dompet Dhuafa Humanitarian Team for Syria said, this humanitarian mission can run and will continue to run thanks to the support and concern of the Indonesian people.
“Currently, the Dompet Dhuafa team is packaging humanitarian aid packages from the Indonesian people for the Syrian people. 1,500 boxes (packages) were prepared and will be directly sent to 3 points, Aleppo, Latakia, and on the border. God willing, this humanitarian mission will continue to run accompanied by the support of the Indonesian people,” explained Rama in his report to the Indonesian people.
It is assessed that these three locations are the most affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that shook in early February 6, 2023. Previously on February 22, 2023, humanitarian assistance for the Indonesian people had been distributed accompanied by Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) humanitarian partners to several of these areas.
