BANDUNG, WEST JAVA — Evacuation and transportation are an important part of emergency services. Proper evacuation and transportation can help treat emergency patients properly and provide support in the healing process. Sometimes, patients need a referral to get a larger healthcare facility when facing an emergency. This is done because of limited facilities and infrastructure as well as human resources that can carry out definitive handling of basic health care facilities.
For this reason, adequate evacuation and transportation facilities are needed in ambulances equipped with proper facilities and infrastructure that meet health standards. Ambulance itself is a vehicle specifically designed to transport sick or injured people to get medical facilities. Ambulances are also equipped with various medical equipment and equipment that can be used to assist patients on the way.
On Monday (17/7/2023), the Dompet Dhuafa Health Division held an FGD (Focus Group Discussion) of the Indonesian Healthy Network at the Indonesian People’s Hall, Dompet Dhuafa Farmer Village, Cibodas, Bandung Regency. This activity lasts for 2 days 1 night, until July 18, 2023. The cold air and beautiful agriculture scenery in the Peasant Village area made 50 participants from various partners and health volunteers enthusiastic about participating in the FGD entitled “Health Emergency Response or Respon Darurat Kesehatan (RDK) Volunteers Integrated and Collaborators”.
In her introductory material, dr. Yeni Purnamasari MKM, as General Manager of Health of Yayasan Dompet Dhuafa Republika, explained that the Health Emergency Response (RDK) from the Free Health Service or Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-cuma (LKC) has been transformed into an integrated network on guarantees health for the wider community, especially duafa who need such access.
“The Indonesian Healthy Network is an effort to integrate the network of health partners and volunteers in a unified emergency service movement and the fulfilment of access to health insurance with the implementation of a professional, easily accessible, safety governance system, increasing distribution, relaying kindness and helping more people in need,” he explained.
“With the network, we also have a list and integrity. We are also developing an emergency service system that becomes a hotline to facilitate and simplify,” added Dr. Yeni.

Followed by a presentation from the Ministry of Health (Kementerian Kesehatan), dr. Yayan Gusman MKM presented material on the Integrated Emergency Management System or Sistem Penanggulangan Gawat Darurat Terpadu (SPGDT): Call Center, Emergency Communication System, Integration (National Command Center), and Service Facilities.
“Land accident victims still rank first in 2022, the highest heart disease, even though Indonesia is a disaster-prone region. The National Command Center is 119. Yes, emergencies are indeed the state’s responsibility, we have tried many things as well, but beyond that and in each region, there are separate policies that ultimately also determine the rules, “explained Dr. Yayan.
In the event, Andri as the Head of the West Java Dompet Dhuafa Branch and Juperta Panji as the Head of the Health Philanthropy Division of the Integrated Rumah Sehat Foundation, were also present to open the FGD.
