JAKARTA – The Dompet Dhuafa Da’wah Service held the opening of the 2023 Dompet Dhuafa Dai Ambassador Training on Thursday (16/03/2023), at Grand Whiz Poins Simatupang, Cilandak, South Jakarta. This activity is a form of training before Dai Ambassador 2023 is assigned to various countries. Dai Ambassador is the ambassador of Dompet Dhuafa who will be delegated to spread the wings of da’wah to Islamic minority countries.
This series of events takes place from Thursday (16/3/2023) to Sunday (19/3/2023). The materials that the Dai will obtain include da’wah and culture in the style of Dompet Dhuafa, statesman and leadership, personal branding, ziswaf fund empowerment program model, fiqh zakat, da’wah journalism, dai spirituality, today’s da’wah challenges, and so on.

Totok Hadi Fitoyo as the International Da’wah Officer of Dompet Dhuafa said that the event’s purpose was to present material and facilities for further discussion.
“We hope that the Dai Ambassador Training event in 2023 before Dai is sent to assignment in Ramadan, they will receive training on minority fiqh, and also fiqh ziswaf, because Dompet Dhuafa is an Islamic philanthropic institution,” he said.
“We also discussed how to preach in minority countries with very few Islamic. In addition, what is no less important is the strengthening of institutional value or Dompet Dhuafa itself because DD da’wah is transformative da’wah. Dompet Dhuafa, in addition to preaching Islamically, but also preaching related to ziswaf and da’wah delegations which meet with related partners such as embassies, consulates, and communities there,” continued Totok Hadi.

The delegates were also very enthusiastic about participating in the training opening, considering that this program was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the previous year. One of the Dai Ambassadors named Ustaz Lukman Hakim from Ponorogo who was assigned to Noumea, New Caledonia expressed his hope to carry out this da’wah mandate.
“Hopefully, what we will bring to the country will be following the vision and mission of Dompet Dhuafa,” said Ustaz Lukman Hakim.

In the opening material entitled “Da’wah and Cultural Strategy ala Dompet Dhuafa”, Herman Budianto as GM of Da’wah and Culture Services said “This is the hope of Dompet Dhuafa also to be included in the level of international da’wah institutions and will automatically be able to spread more benefits. Before departure, of course, some provisions must be discussed together, such as material on da’wah strategies and culture,” said Herman.
Hopefully, Dai Ambassador will be dispatched to various countries, and hopefully, it can spread the wings of Dompet Dhuafa da’wah universally.
