BOGOR, WEST JAVA – Zona Madina UMKM House as part of Dompet Dhuafa’s economic empowerment program, has always been a supportive environment for MSME players or fostered partners. One form of support is by holding capacity building training, entrepreneurship workshops, halal certification assistance, and also assisting MSME players in distributing their products to market networks or markets.
This time, on Tuesday (27/2/2024), the Madina Zone MSME House again held training to improve the capabilities of the fostered partners. The training, which was held at Donat Madu Cihanjuang, Tamansari, Bogor Regency, was made possible thanks to the collaboration between Rumah UMKM Zona Madina and RIQRA Training Center. RIQRA Training Center is a baking training center and entrepreneurship training for micro MSMEs who want to develop their business with a capacity building scheme.
“In this training, we present Chef Rudi who is a professional chef who has been in the baking field for a long time. Hopefully this event will be useful knowledge for all mothers. Then, by inviting this professional chef, we can make MSMEs and households develop,” said Ridwan Iskandar, CEO of RIQRA Training Center and Donat Madu Cihanjuang.

The Lebaran Cake Workshop began with a tasting session of local superior products, which are the result of innovation from RIQRA Training Center by utilizing pohpohan leaf commodities. The product is a pohpohan sponge cake which is a real example of the utilization of local ingredients in the cake industry. This session provided an opportunity for participants to experience and understand the creation process and the added value that can be generated through innovation in the use of local ingredients.
After the local product tasting session, it was followed by a question and answer session with Chef Rudi, which provided an opportunity for participants to ask him directly. The event then ended with a grand demo of making cookies, eclairs, risoles, and dadar rolls by Chef Rudi. Not only that, the participants also had the opportunity to win attractive door prizes that further increased the enthusiasm of the MSME players who attended the Lebaran Cake Workshop.
“The Madina Zone MSME House, especially before the month of Ramadan, seeks to prosper the surrounding MSMEs by striving to continue to increase the capacity of fostered partners, so that their products can be enjoyed by the community and sell well. So that the welfare of MSMEs in this blessed month can be realized. One of the efforts to make this all happen is the collaboration with RIQRA Training Center. This effort is expected to establish friendship between institutions, as well as a means of striving together for the goal of the welfare of MSMEs, “said Armie Robi as Director of Zona Madina Dompet Dhuafa.
