BEKASI, WEST JAVA – Dompet Dhuafa through the Community Service Agency (LPM) held a social action entitled Lapor Lapar. This action was not only held in one place, but was held simultaneously at various points in Jabodetabek with a total of 21,600 portions of food distributed. The Lapor Lapar program is run by LPM Dompet Dhuafa by collaborating with various stakeholders, ranging from mosques, restaurants, to RT and RW.
In the Bekasi area, Lapor Lapar was carried out on Friday (20/9/2024) in two RWs, namely RW 06 & 07, MArgahayu, East Bekasi. The action began with distributing coupons to people in need. Such as the elderly, widows, orphans, and the poor. Furthermore, the coupons can be exchanged for food at several designated restaurants.
Nana Resna as the Head of RW 06 Margahayu, East Bekasi, thanked LPM Dompet Dhuafa for organizing this Lapor Lapar action.
“We would like to thank you for organizing this program. With this program, our residents can be partially helped. Because, to be honest … in our neighborhood we still need help like this,” said Nana Resna.

More than that, Nana Resna also hopes that the Lapor Lapar action can continue to be expanded and increase the frequency of distribution.
“Yes, if possible, this can be increased again or the frequency can be increased. Because, honestly, there are still many of our residents who are still in need,” he explained.
The coupon distribution took place after Friday prayers, followed by coupon redemption at designated restaurants. The restaurants appointed as partners include padang rice stalls and tegal stalls (warteg) around the location.
The residents who received this benefit were very enthusiastic. This can be seen from the smiles and happiness that appeared during coupon redemption.
“Yes, I am very happy, grateful to be able to get this program,” said one of the beneficiaries.
Kamaludin as Head of LPM Dompet Dhuafa explained that this hunger program is a step in providing food for the poor.
“The need for food is the main thing for humans. We are saddened when we see brothers and sisters who have difficulty getting food to starve. Hopefully this Lapor Lapar program can relieve the hunger experienced because they cannot buy food,” said Kamaludin.
The Lapor Lapar program is spread across six Jabodetabek areas and partners with mosques, food stalls, and local RW, so that the benefits received by the community and stakeholders can be felt. (Dompet Dhuafa)
