PEKALONGAN, CENTRAL JAVA — The clock showed 02.00 AM local time. The Lembaga Pelayan Masyarakat (LPM) team of Dompet Dhuafa with its Mobile Kitchen (Darling) was busy preparing hundreds of food packages. These foods would be distributed as suhoor meals for the surrounding community and travelers who crossed the main route of Pekalongan on Thursday (20/4/2023).
Yes, since Tuesday, April 18, 2023, Dompet Dhuafa has established a Homecoming Service Post at Rest Area Masjid Al Karomah Jl. Gajah Mada Barat No. 124 Tirto, Pekalongan. There, Dompet Dhuafa provides a variety of free services for travelers. The volunteers are also on standby to serve from the heart, so that the travelers remain careful.

“It has already been the main agenda of Dapur Keliling (Mobile Kitchen) Dompet Dhuafa to distribute hundreds of suhoor and iftar meals every day at this Pekalongan Homecoming Service Post,” said Asep, PIC of Darling Dompet Dhuafa.
The various services provided include motorbike services, massages, and free haircuts by Dompet Dhuafa Institut Kemandirian (IK) team, Healthy Service Actions, distribution of nutrition packages for children and the elderly, and ambulance services by the Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-cuma (LKC) Dompet Dhuafa Central Java, as well as Wahana Taman Ceria by Dompet Dhuafa DMC (Disaster Management Center) team.

“We’re on standby 24 hours, especially ALS and motorcycle service,” added Asep.

Rambutan (Jakarta), Pelabuhan Merak (Banten), Nagreg (West Java), Toyomerto (Central Java), Rest Area KM 166 Cipali Toll Road, Rest Area KM 695 Jombang, to Banyuwangi (East Java).
