JAKARTA – The year 2023 marks the first collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and Dyandra Global in hosting a concert by the prominent South Korean agency, SM Entertainment. Dompet Dhuafa provided complimentary prayer rooms for the audience at the SMTOWN LIVE 2023: SMCU Palace @Jakarta concert, which was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK) in Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
Not only one, but Dompet Dhuafa also provided two prayer rooms simultaneously, located in Zones 5 and 9 of the concert area. This facility greatly facilitated the religious practices of both concertgoers and staff.
Besides offering free prayer rooms, Dompet Dhuafa introduced several programs, one of which is the Wakaf Sumur (Endowment Well) program. This program is designed to assist regions experiencing drought or difficulties in accessing clean water, especially in the 3T areas (Remote, Outermost, and Underdeveloped).

Both the audience and the staff showed enthusiasm for the Wakaf Sumur (Endowment Well) donation booth, which was located next to the prayer room’s entrance. Many inquired about the program, and a considerable number made donations after their prayers.
“The reason for donating to a well is that the benefit of providing water is believed to continuously flow, so donating to a well feels right,” explained Vega, one of the SMTOWN concertgoers, when the Dompet Dhuafa Team asked about her motivation for donating.
As the time for Magrib prayer approached, both the prayer room and the donation booth experienced an increase in visitors. The Dompet Dhuafa Fundraising Team noted that the donation booth garnered significant interest from concertgoers utilizing the prayer facilities.

“Since this afternoon, thankfully, there have been many donations. Some have made cash donations of Rp150,000, others have used QRIS, and some have donated via debit cards,” Ubay remarked.
Dompet Dhuafa hopes this collaboration will enhance the education and awareness of the public, particularly millennials and Gen Z, about the organization’s programs.
