CIANJUR, WEST JAVA — Dompet Dhuafa again invites donors to look directly at the economic empowerment program derived from zakat and waqf funds, namely the Livestock Center. Often called Al Ikhwan Livestock Village, the livestock centre is located in Pasir Sireum Village, Cikondang, Cibeber, Cianjur Regency.
Titled “Care Visit Special Quality Control (QC) Kurban,” this activity manifests Dompet Dhuafa’s transparency to donors. The series of events began with donors invited to see PKBM Shuffah Al Mustanir, an educational institution and an Islamic boarding school for children in the red zone area in Kp. Hanjawar, Cikondang, Cianjur Regency. Then the trip continued by seeing directly the livestock centre and QC of Dompet Dhuafa sacrificial animals carried out by farmers of the Cianjur Livestock Village group.

Yudha Andilla as Dompet Dhuafa’s Retail Fundraising Manager revealed that this series of events is an effort to report and share experiences with donors. Starting from the establishment of Kampung Ternak to maintaining the quality of doka, one of which is devoted to the Dompet Dhuafa Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) program.
“To report and share the experience made by Dompet Dhuafa that this is a good effort and very well systematized. Quality Control carried out by Dompet Dhuafa, the existence of this activity can invite donors to see the procurement process and maintain its quality. So that this QC process can increase the confidence of donors and prospective donors do not have to worry about sacrificing in Dompet Dhuafa. Because, when they sacrifice in Dompet Dhuafa, they have ensured themselves that the quality provided by Dompet Dhuafa is well maintained in terms of its Sharia, in terms of its multiplayer impact is also wide,” said Yudha.

Ayi Rahmat as the Manager of Cianjur Livestock Village, explained this Livestock Village is a livestock centre in the Cianjur area, as many as 200 doka are in this Livestock Village. In addition to the Livestock Village, sacrificial animals are also in the Dompet Dhuafa Plasma Cage, which farmers manage independently.
“QC must be precise. Usually, those who are examined are first genital, male or female, second is their health affected by FMD or not, look at their eyes, mouth, and ears, and whether signs of disease or not. And the scales, the standard Dompet Dhuafa category (doka) is 23-25 kg, medium (doka) is 26-28 kg and premium (doka) is 29-33 kg,” said Ayi explaining the QC process of Dompet Dhuafa sacrificial animals.
