TANGERANG — The largest automotive exhibition in Southeast Asia, Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), is taking place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD City, Tangerang Regency on August 10-20, 2023. This action will last three days, on August 14-16, 2023, at Garuda Room 1, ICE BSD.
The Free Health Service (LKC) Dompet Dhuafa collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Tangerang Regency in this blood donation collection action. As for free eye examinations, LKC collaborates with Achmad Wardi Eye Hospital, the world’s first eye hospital based on endowments. In addition, the Dompet Dhuafa Health Emergency Response Team (RDK) was also present to provide education about Basic Living Assistance (BHD), commonly referred to as first aid.

Several things need to be considered before donating blood. Among them are at least three months away from the last blood donation, age over 19 years, weigh more than 45 kg, and have not undergone treatment in the last three days.
In addition, Amanda Dwi Putri, as PIC of Blood Donation Implementation, appealed to participants to rest and eat enough before donating blood. Having rested and eaten are needed to pass the screening stage by the LKC Team.
“The enthusiasm of donors is so high, but many do not pass the screening. We recommend that friends who want to donate blood must get enough sleep for at least 4 hours before and then consume fresh, healthy food so that the HB is enough. Before donating, participants are advised to eat at least snacks so as not to get dizzy when the donor is finished,” he said Monday (14/8/2023).

On the same occasion, Sofik Emeraldy, Business Development & Public Relations of RSAW, said that the enthusiasm of the participants who came on the first day was high enough to carry out eye examinations, namely early detection of visual impairment with the RSAW Team.
“Hopefully, with this activity, people will be more aware of their eye health. Don’t be shy, and feel free to check his eyes. Because lately, according to research, there will be many eye disorders caused by devices. Don’t wait for illness first and then do the examination, “he said. (Dompet Dhuafa/Muthohar)
