EGYPT — The city of Rafah on the border of Egypt and southern Gaza, a safe haven for refugees, was also bombarded by the Israeli military on Sunday (5/26/2024). Now, as many as 35,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed. More than 80,000 have been wounded, and 1.7 million are still displaced.
Solidarity to alleviate the burden of the people of Gaza in Palestine began to come from people around the world. Aid was sent through Egypt to Rafah. Previously, Dompet Dhuafa had sent basic supplies and prepared meals. On this occasion, Dompet Dhuafa also contributed to the provision of tents for refugees.

Alhamdulillah, one of Dompet Dhuafa’s partners reported that 200 4 x 4 meter tents have been completed. These tents will be used to protect the refugees during their daily activities from the heat and rain. The tents were made in the Arab Republic of Egypt and will be sent to the refugee camps in Gaza.
“We thank Dompet Dhuafa very much for this donation. May Allah record it as the good deeds of the donors and bless their fortune,” said one of Dompet Dhuafa’s partners in Egypt.
