JAKARTA — Dompet Dhuafa has once again collaborated with Samudera Peduli on the “Ambulans Pelosok” (Remote Ambulance) initiative. Samudera Peduli is a social program initiated by PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk. This time, the “Ambulans Pelosok” has been introduced in the Eastern Lampung region as a health facility for the general public.
The ambulance handover ceremony between Samudera Indonesia and Dompet Dhuafa took place at the Samudera Indonesia Office in Slipi, Jakarta, on Monday (22/1/2024). The ambulance unit was officially handed over by Asril Bari, the Chairman of the Samudera Indonesia Peduli Foundation, and was received by Ali Bastoni, the General Manager of Waqf Development at Dompet Dhuafa. Ocky Melati Indah Sari, the Director of AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital in Lampung, was also present at the event.
The purpose of the “Ambulans Pelosok” is to provide an ambulance facility as a complement to health facilities for the community, especially for those in remote areas who have limited or no access to patient transportation.
“Asril Bari stated, “By handing over the ambulance from Samudera Peduli to the chosen health facility, we hope it will be optimally utilized to serve the community and save more lives with this ambulance.”
Next, the ambulance will be handed over by Dompet Dhuafa to AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital in Eastern Lampung. Ali Bastoni hopes the ambulance will become a facility capable of supporting the operational needs of AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital in Lampung, providing better health services to the people of Eastern Lampung.
“Dompet Dhuafa extends its highest appreciation to Samudera Peduli for agreeing to collaborate in spreading benefits across Indonesia. In our records, the partnership with Samudera Peduli has been very successful. Among the contributions are fulfilling the infrastructure needs of hospitals managed by Dompet Dhuafa based on an endowment fund, such as inpatient rooms, medical equipment, and other supporting facilities in two hospitals, namely RST Dompet Dhuafa Hospital in Parung Bogor and AKA Medika Sribhwono Hospital in Eastern Lampung,” Ali explained.
This collaboration of kindness is not the first of its kind. In 2022, Samudera Peduli distributed social funds for Dompet Dhuafa’s endowment program, which included the construction of a pharmacy room at the Integrated Healthy House Hospital Dompet Dhuafa and the procurement of medical equipment such as one ventilator unit and one portable X-ray unit.
Furthermore, in 2023, the collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and Samudera Indonesia Peduli was strengthened with the construction of an Isolation Room and two Inpatient Rooms at AKA Medika Sribhawono Hospital in Eastern Lampung. Today, Samudera Peduli has once again provided support in the form of an ambulance for patient mobilization in remote areas, which will be operationally managed by AKA Medika Sribhawono Dompet Dhuafa Hospital in Eastern Lampung.
