CIANJUR, WEST JAVA — On Wednesday (12/14/2022), Dompet Dhuafa again distributed logistics and food aid packages to earthquake survivors in Cianjur. The aid, one of which was distributed in the refugee areas of Kampung Pamengpeuk, Cijedil Village, and Kampung Garogol, Cibulakan Village, Cugenang area, Cianjur.
“I’m going to say that they (refugees) are very strong. Sometimes it’s the other way around, it’s us who are moved when we meet in person in the refugee tents. In one tent there are 10 households, there are children and the elderly as well. And apparently, in Kampung Pamengpeuk, they took refuge in the cemetery area,” admitted Lusty, Dompet Dhuafa’s REMO (Resources Mobilization) Team.
The aid delivered this time including blankets, towels, baby clothes, and 135 Kg of rendang as a supporting menu at the Public Kitchen Post and Nutrition Corner. Not only that, the Dompet Dhuafa Team also delivered Qur’an donations from Donors in Kampung Garogol, for Islamic Boarding School students survivors who were affected by the Earthquake.
The aid was a donation trust, they were from Dompet Dhuafa School Donors, including Al Fikri Islamic School, MT Husnul Chotimah MT Sruni, and Smart School Cibinong; and Kantor Dagang dan Ekonomi Indonesia (Indonesian Trade and Economic Office) in Taipei, Ikatan Keluarga Indonesia IsDB (Indonesian Family Association), PPI Kayseri Turkey, and PT KAI Ragam Fortuna (KAI Food).

In addition, aid distribution points include Kampung Tanjakan, Padaluyu Village, Cugenang; Kampung Raweuy, Mekarsari Village, Cianjur; and Kampung Gandaria, Rancagoong Village, Cilaku; and the surrounding territory.
“When heading to the evacuation area, the location was in a remote area and the weather was rainy as well. Alhamdulillah, that time there was also 1 (one) car unit from Belgie Pro (British Propolis) as our mobilization support,” added Lusty.
Until now Dompet Dhuafa through the Disaster Management Center (DMC), Lembaga Pelayan Masyarakat (LPM) or Community Service Institute, Respons Darurat Kesehatan (RDK) or Health Emergency Response, Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma (LKC) or Free Health Services, and Corps Dai Dompet Dhuafa (CORDOFA) has provided SAR & Evacuation services that were able to find 16 bodies buried in the rubble.
Then there were also Health Services helping 2,911 people, Food Logistics Distribution Services distribution to 13,693 people, Non-Food Logistics Distribution Services distribution to 767 people, Barzah Services providing benefits to 43 people, Psychological Services helping 649 people, and Layanan Bersih Itu Sehat (Clean is Healthy Services) benefiting 2,398 people (data as of November 29, 2022).
