JAKARTA — Dompet Dhuafa again held Shopping with Orphans activity on Sunday (16/4/2023). This time, Dompet Dhuafa collaborated with Green Pramuka Square, Rawasari, Central Jakarta by inviting benefit recipients, orphans from Yayasan Baiti Jannati.
Accompanied by Dompet Dhuafa Volunteers, Lembaga Pelayan Masyarakat or LPM team (Community Service Agency), and also MTS Istiqlal School, the orphans looked very happy when shopping for Ramadan and Eid Day needs at Lotte Mart, Green Pramuka Square.
“Well, I buy a lot of staple food for Ummi (mother) at home. Later, I will buy myself clothes, I’ll save money first if there is more sustenance,” said Ridho (10), one of the orphans from Bogor.
This hafiz (Qur’an memorizer) chose to help his mother in shopping opportunities at that time. Faoza Hayatunufus, as Ridho’s Companion Volunteer, did not think he would choose to do that.
“He (Ridho) doesn’t want to shop for clothes, he chooses groceries, food and stuff, as a gift and to help his Ummi. Amazingly, it turns out that Ridho is a hafiz of the 30 Juz of the Qur’an,” said Faoza.
Before the shopping took place, Yudha Andilla as Senior Officer Retail of Dompet Dhuafa explained in his speech that more kindness collaborator partners, hands who are moved to do good and spread joy, synergize with Dompet Dhuafa.
“Alhamdulillah, Dompet Dhuafa together with Green Pramuka Square and MTS School Partners made a good collaboration, which aims to bring joy to the orphan brothers. Ramadan is the month of harvesting kindness, so hopefully it will all beneficial and they’re cheerful, “said Yudha.
In line with that, Liza Monaliza as President Director of Green Pramuka Square, also said, “Buy what we need, choose what is priority. Happy shopping and playing at Fun World arcade games, may blessings be a gift from us for our worship efforts so far.”
Yes, after shopping at Lotte Mart, the orphans were also given the opportunity to play at Fun World arcade games before Maghrib time, before breaking their fast.
