JAKARTA — “It’s not the first time for Khair Yasmin Foundation to synergize with Dompet Dhuafa. Since our establishment, we’ve shared the same vision. We’ve also noticed that Dompet Dhuafa’s commitment to Palestine is consistent. They even snd teams to oversee the aid,” admitted Sulistiyo, Program Manager of Khair Yasmin Foundation, on Wednesday (24/1/2024).
Representatives from Khair Yasmin Foundation, including Sulistiyo, the Program Manager, and Eddy Aqdhiwijaya, the Chairman of the Islam Cinta Movement (GIC), visited Dompet Dhuafa at the Philanthropy Building in South Jakarta. During the visit, Sulistiyo explained that since October 2023, Khair Yasmin Foundation, in partnership with GIC, initiated a humanitarian campaign for Palestine, encouraging donations through the kitabisa.com platform.
Dompet Dhuafa received a significant goodwill donation of IDR 110,000,000 (one hundred and ten million rupiah) from Khair Yasmin Foundation and GIC that morning, specifically earmarked for Palestine.
“Dompet Dhuafa’s reporting is also reliable. Even though we are all aware of the difficult conditions on the ground in Palestine, which present a challenge, transparency is still guaranteed. Hopefully, this donation will also weave a web of goodwill, and we want to learn,” added Sulistiyo.
Etika Setiawanti, the Secretary of the Board of Yayasan Dompet Dhuafa Republika, warmly welcomed the collaboration, detailing Dompet Dhuafa’s various humanitarian initiatives in Palestine and expressing deep appreciation for the trust and support from Khair Yasmin Foundation and GIC.
“We are grateful to receive this humanitarian mandate from our friends for Palestine today. This strengthens our synergy, which we hope will open other doors of goodness, bringing broader benefits. Dompet Dhuafa is open to all opportunities for synergy to strengthen all existing elements,” said Etika.
