BEKASI, WEST JAVA — In a demonstration of solidarity among humanity, Hidayatullah Mosque in Patria Jaya Complex, located in Jatirahayu, Pondok Melati District, Bekasi City, organized a fundraising event to support the people of Palestine. The proceeds from the donation drive were channeled through Dompet Dhuafa on Friday (21/1/2023).
This fundraising event was not the first for Hidayatullah Mosque. In addition to fundraising, the congregation was also reinforced with values of compassion to cultivate sympathy through messages in the Subuh (dawn) study sessions delivered by Gus Isqowi, one of the preachers from Dompet Dhuafa.
Ustaz Mauludin, the Head of the DKM (Mosque Management Council) of Hidayatullah Mosque, expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for the collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa.
“Today, we are very grateful. It’s a special day where we can collaborate with Dompet Dhuafa. This is the fourth phase of donation handover after previously we also made donations in October, November, and December. We know that Dompet Dhuafa is one of the institutions concerned with Palestine. Although the donation given might not be as large as expected, we hope this becomes a synergy of kindness that can be continued by Hidayatullah Mosque with Dompet Dhuafa,” he said.
Furthermore, Hidayatullah Mosque in Patria Complex hopes this activity can foster a sense of humanity and care among the mosque’s congregation.
Meanwhile, Yudha Andilla, the Retail Fundraising Manager of Dompet Dhuafa, expressed honor for the trust given by the community, especially Hidayatullah Mosque in Patria Complex.
“We thank Hidayatullah Mosque in Patria Complex. We also hope this collaboration is not the last. Hopefully, this can be a bond that we can knit again. Thank you very much for warmly welcoming Dompet Dhuafa. God willing, the DKM of Hidayatullah Mosque is strengthened in forming a congregation that not only understands worship but also deeply empathizes,” he said.

Ustaz Mauludin added that they are grateful Indonesia has a credible institution, Dompet Dhuafa, which continually serves to deliver the trust entrusted by the people.
“I think Dompet Dhuafa is an incredible institution for Palestine. They are indeed very proud because if it weren’t through Dompet Dhuafa, they wouldn’t be sure if our small aid would reach Palestine or not. We hope it can reach there,” he added. (Dompet Dhuafa/Kemal/Muthohar)
