JAKARTA — #SatuKurbanBanyakKebaikan Syiar (#OneSacrificeMuchGoodness) continues to be echoed in order to welcome the 1444 H Sacrifice Day. On Thursday (22/6/2023), Dompet Dhuafa was present to enliven the Jakarta Fair 2023 as an effort to inform about the Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) Program, as well as to invite the public to be able to contribute to the happiness of other communities by spreading sacrificial animals to remote parts of the country, especially to areas that have never tasted sacrificial meat.
Located at the Dompet Dhuafa booth, Hall D2 Jakarta Fair 2023, the Sacrificial Animal Stocking Talk Show entitled “Bersama Dompet Dhuafa #SatuKurbanBanyakKebaikan” (Together with Dompet Dhuafa #OneSacrificeMuchGoodness) was held to facilitate people who want to sacrifice directly. This talk show was attended by Adi Kurniawan as Manager Digital Fundraising of Dompet Dhuafa and Vabella as Super Volunteer Dompet Dhuafa.

Since 1994, Dompet Dhuafa has been committed to spreading the goodness of sacrifice to remote parts of Indonesia by initiating the Tebar Hewan Kurban (THK) Program. Since the beginning of this program, it turns out that there are still people who have never tasted sacrificial meat, and they are in remote areas of the country. Through this talk show, Dompet Dhuafa invites the entire community to spread kindness to those in need.
“That’s why we named this Tebar Hewan Kurban (Stocking Sacrificial Animals) and we invite the community to together spread the sacrifices to remote areas, so that all the people can enjoy sacrificial meat at the moment of Eid al-Ladha,” said Adi.
In 2023, Dompet Dhuafa will distribute sacrificial animals in 30 provinces and nationally we have a target of 32 thousand sheep/goats equivalent to be distributed throughout the country. Not only that, this year we will also target several countries such as Palestine, Somalia, Turkiye, Syria etc.

Through Tebar Hewan Kurban, Dompet Dhuafa ensures that the quality of sacrificial animals is maintained, either it is cows or sheep. Providing the best for the benefit recipients.
“Because indeed we have been working with farmers since long ago, even since the end of last year we have determined the number of sacrificial animals, how many will be sacrificed at THK later. We have started breeding and we have been caring for it from the beginning and we also have livestock that are cared for in Dompet Dhuafa’s pen in our 13 branches. So indeed in terms of price, it is much cheaper because we take care of the animals by ourselves,” Adi added.
Through a guaranteed Quality Control process, Dompet Dhuafa conducts quality checks and ensures the availability of sacrificial sheep for the upcoming Eid sacrifice. The activities are checking health conditions, measuring and weighing the animals, and sorting sacrificial animals in the pens.
“During the first QC, we made sure that the Sharia law was completed first, if it is a goat, it must have passed one year old, and two years old for cows. Secondly, what we ensure is health, the weight is appropriate, and if you want to sacrifice in Dompet Dhuafa, we make sure that all the sacrifices in Dompet Dhuafa are male, we’ll make sure of that,” concluded Adi.
In line with this, Vabella as a Super Volunteer Dompet Dhuafa shared her experience of conducting QC in Medan. At that time, she met Ibu Tarbiyah who met her daily food needs only with a mixture of rice, sugar, and water.
“I visited one of the families, her name was Ibu Tarbiyah. Every day she ate rice with sugar and water. Well, we visited Ibu Tarbiyah because we wanted to distribute the sacrificial meat to Ibu Tarbiyah. She thanked us very much because she ate meat only once a year, and she was waiting for us (Dompet Dhuafa) to give meat to the village. Ibu Tarbiyah eats meat only if there is a distribution of sacrificial animals from Dompet Dhuafa,” said Vabella.
The presence of the Dompet Dhuafa booth at the Jakarta Fair 2023 makes it easy for people to sacrifice. In addition, this year’s Jakarta Fair also features a carnival parade. Dompet Dhuafa also enlivened the carnival which was attended by Dompet Dhuafa people across divisions, went around from the concert stage to Gedung Pusat Niaga, and finished at Gambir Expo.
“Dompet Dhuafa also had the opportunity to take part in a carnival held by Jakarta Fair, which is traveling around together with other brands, with the aim of broadcasting even more widely about the Tebar Hewan Kurban Program to Jakarta Fair visitors,” added Dandy Esviansyah as Brand Activation Team of Dompet Dhuafa.
