MALUKU — The Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Institution (LPM) together with Dompet Dhuafa Maluku opened a new halfway house for patients who are undergoing treatment. As well as those in Jakarta, this patient’s halfway house was named The Shelter Sehati which was inaugurated on Saturday (8/10/2022) located in Teluk Ambon District, Ambon City. This shelter will be a decent temporary housing facility for patients and assistance while undergoing treatment.
Present at the inauguration of the Sehati Shelter were Juperta Panji Utama as General Manager of Dompet Dhuafa Social Services, dr. Yan Aslian Noor as Director of Nursing and Supporting Medical Services at RSUP dr. J. Leimena Ambon, La Januri as Head of DD Maluku Branch, community leaders, local religious leaders, and orphans.
In his remarks when he was about to inaugurate the Sehati Shelter, Juperta explained that this program was a form of Dompet Dhuafa’s attention as an effort to support plenary health for the poor. Not only in the Jakarta area, Dompet Dhuafa also wants to present Sehati Shelter services in various other regions in Indonesia including eastern Indonesia.
“This Sehati Shelter is the first to be held in Ambon City which is managed by the Amil Zakat Institution (LAZ) and hopefully this can increase because there will definitely be more patients,” he said.
Dr. Yan Aslian Noor as Director of Nursing and Supporting Medical Services at RSUP said that his party would support the Sehati Shelter program. He also stated that he was ready to assist in the discussion, both with education and training to officers and families living in the shelter.
“We are ready to support the Shelter Sehati Dompet Dhuafa program with anything we can help. We will also provide education and training to officers and families who live in the Shelter, how to handle patients in this halfway house,” he said.
La Januri , as head branch of DD Maluku also added, the Sehati Shelter program is highly anticipated by the community. This will certainly help the poor, especially those whose homes are far from the hospital. Dompet Dhuafa will provide the best benefits and services to patients who need a halfway house here.
“We have also socialized to the health office and the social service, both of which are very supportive and supportive of this program,” he explained.
In the launching event of Shelter Sehati, Dompet Dhuafa Maluku also distributed food package assistance to the invited orphans. La Januri invited the audience to jointly recite prayers so that this Sehati Shelter can continue to provide benefits. (Dompet Dhuafa / LPM / Muthohar)
