GAZA, PALESTINE — Dompet Dhuafa once again distributed humanitarian aid for the Palestinians from Buttonscarves – a fashion brand – on Thursday (2/8/2024). This time, the aid was distributed in the form of prepared meals and daily necessities. In addition, the aid was also given in the form of operational support for the medical team, paramedics and workers in the hospital, as well as patients in all departments in Kamal Adwan Hospital, North Gaza.
The donation received by Dompet Dhuafa from Buttonscarves was 100 percent of the profit from the ticket sales of the “Kajian Akbar: Doa Untuk Palestina” organized by Buttonscarves at the end of December 2023 in Ballroom 3, The Ritz Carlton, Pacific Place, South Jakarta. The aid has also been distributed to Kamal Adwan Hospital, North Gaza in the form of operational support for the health facility.
“Through the event ‘Kajian Akbar: Prayers for Palestine’ organized by Buttonscarves on Saturday (9/12/2023), we hope to be a bridge of kindness between Muslims in Indonesia and our brothers and sisters in Palestine. This is also one of the concrete steps as a form of our commitment in providing tangible support for Palestine,” said Linda Anggrea as Founder & CEO of Buttonscarves, after symbolically handing over the donation to Etika Setiawanti as Secretary of Dompet Dhuafa.

Alfursan Palestinian Emergency Association (APEA) became Dompet Dhuafa’s implementing partner in the distribution of this program. It helps distribute food aid and daily necessities to affected communities in the North Gaza region. This effort is important, considering the difficulty of getting food supplies and daily necessities due to the war and blockade in the Gaza region.
Geopolitical conditions in the Middle East are heating up. Launching KompasTV on Monday (4/22/2024), the impact of Israeli oppression in Palestine has made residents in the Gaza Strip face the threat of starvation. The humanitarian situation in most parts of the Gaza Strip is poor. However, the northern part of the coastal area is hit by severe food shortages. Famine is imminent in the north, which has been hardest hit. The war has made it difficult for humanitarian aid to reach residents.
