The cause of this Galodo or flash flood, according to the Head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Dwikorita Karnawati, is rain with moderate to very heavy intensity.
Dwikorita also said that based on BMKG analysis as of May 6, 2024, a cyclonic circulation pattern has been detected west of Aceh which has the potential to trigger intensive rain cloud growth. (Dompet Dhuafa)
