JAKARTA — What did Hasan (32) and Nadia (30), the Ramadan Service Outlet Fundraising Team, dream of last night? As Dompet Dhuafa’s frontline staff, they were lucky enough to be able to meet and discuss directly with the initiator and chairman of Dompet Dhuafa’s board of trustees, Parni Hadi, for the first time on Sunday (17/3/2024), at Lippo Mall Kemang Village, South Jakarta.

That afternoon, Parni Hadi took the time to visit the Dompet Dhuafa Service Outlet in a shopping centre in South Jakarta. Parni Hadi came with fresh greetings, ideas, and motivation on the sixth day of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah. To Hasan and Nadia, Parni Hadi emphasised to always serve donors with a smile.

‘Providing services is not only our duty to mustahik, but also to muzaki. Serve donors with a smile, create interaction. Create attention with sound, motion, and colour,’ said Parni.

Also present were Yudha Andilla as Dompet Dhuafa’s Senior Officer Retails and Etika Setiawanti as Dompet Dhuafa’s Secretary of Management, who also gave reasons for the importance of an offline service outlet in the presence of online facilities today.

‘Service outlets, especially during Ramadan, make it easy for donors to give zakat and alms while doing activities in shopping centres. This outlet is also a facility to provide awareness of various information about Dompet Dhuafa as well as zakat to donors. Moreover, there are donors who are not familiar with online facilities and are comfortable with giving zakat directly at Dompet Dhuafa Service Outlets,’ said Etika.

The gathering was closed with a group photo. After the gathering, Hasan admitted that he was indeed interested in working in the social sector. Interestingly, Nadia also revealed that she had recognised Dompet Dhuafa from her grandfather’s newspaper reading collection. Nadia’s first impression of Dompet Dhuafa was during the 2009 earthquake in West Sumatra.

‘Yes, my hometown in West Sumatra was affected by the earthquake, and I saw Dompet Dhuafa present with the survivors and providing assistance at that time. So, I feel a lot of exposure to Dompet Dhuafa,’ said Nadia.

‘Now, thank God, I have been a part of Dompet Dhuafa since 2016. I think, maybe my path and fortune is here with Dompet Dhuafa as one of the Frontline Insan through service outlets,’ she admitted again.

For information, apart from Lippo Mall Kemang Village, Dompet Dhuafa Zakat Service Outlets are also spread across 46 shopping centre locations in the Greater Jakarta area. The nuances of the long-awaited month of Ramadan were enthusiastically welcomed by Dompet Dhuafa personnel and the community, especially for Muslims who observe Ramadan fasting. The month of Ramadan has come, and the moment of #RamadanMendekatkan is felt.

Rina Fatimah as the Chairperson of Ramadan 1445 H, representing the extended family of Dompet Dhuafa, also congratulated the fasting of Ramadan 1445 H. She emphasized that Dompet Dhuafa is very open to all forms of collaboration for goodness. In accordance with the theme, this Ramadan is expected to be able to bring closer to the practice of kindness, bring closer togetherness, bring closer mustahik and muzaki, bring closer collaborator partners, and especially to get closer to the Divine.
