JAKARTA — Suwarsono Muhammad, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) Waqf Board Foundation, visited the Dompet Dhuafa office on Tuesday (23/4/2024). Parni Hadi as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, accompanied by Yudi Latif as Member of Trustees of Dompet Dhuafa and Rahmad Riyadi as Chairman of Dompet Dhuafa Supervisors welcomed Suwarsono’s visit to the Philanthropy Building Office, South Jakarta, that day.
During the meeting, UII and Dompet Dhuafa shared experiences and explored the possibility of cooperation, such as developing or building hospitals.
According to Suwarsono, UII is one of the largest and most advanced private universities in Indonesia. UII has also successfully developed several business wings, such as JIH (Jogja International Hospital), banks, gas stations, hotels, and others.

Currently, UII has five hospitals, all of which operate in Java. Meanwhile, Dompet Dhuafa has seven hospitals spread across Java and Sumatra.
From the morning meeting, it is hoped that positive cooperation and collaboration will be established between the two institutions to develop an Islamic civilization that is rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
“UII and Dompet Dhuafa must be able to present an image of Islam that is friendly, welcoming, and rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Islam that always smiles,” Parni Hadi explained.
At the end of the meeting, Parni Hadi pinned the Dompet Dhuafa vest to Suwarsono Muhammad as a symbol that he had become part of the Dompet Dhuafa family. (Dompet Dhuafa)
