SERANG, BANTEN — Since joining the Kantin Kontainer scholarship programme, Galuh Fitria Ramadani has felt a big change. The student of the Faculty of Islamic Business Economics at Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin State Islamic University Banten has learnt various lessons from economics, especially in entrepreneurship.

This scholarship from Dompet Dhuafa not only helped ease Galuh’s financial burden. But it also taught her in-depth entrepreneurial skills. It also changed her perspective on the future.

Before becoming part of the Container Canteen programme, Galuh faced considerable financial pressure. As a student who comes from a modest family, she had to be careful in fulfilling her daily needs and tuition fees.

‘My finances were mediocre. My tuition fees and daily needs were also tight. But after entering this Container Canteen, Alhamdulillah, everything is fulfilled,’ she said with a grateful tone.

In addition to her university activities, Galuh has actually tried to start a small business. She sells headscarves and food online as an independent effort to earn extra income.

Joining the Container Canteen gave her a new opportunity. By implementing a profit-sharing system, she is able to earn an income per month. She uses most of this income for tuition fees, daily needs, and some of it is saved. For him, the Container Canteen Programme offers a valuable opportunity to put into practice the economic knowledge he learnt on campus.

‘This programme is very useful, especially in building an entrepreneurial spirit in students. We can manage our own business and learn directly from the experience gained at the Container Canteen,’ Galuh said, emphasising the programme’s role in honing entrepreneurial skills.

Galuh hopes that the Container Canteen programme will continue to grow so that more students can benefit from it. She also thanked Dompet Dhuafa, donors, and friends who always support her at the Container Canteen.
