In East Java, this activity involved 30 orphans and poor children from the Bismar Al Mustakim Foundation which took place with great joy and warmth. At the event, Mr Wioko, a representative from Astra Financial had the opportunity to give a speech.

‘Astra Finance in this month of Ramadan has a desire to share happiness with orphans through shopping together, breaking the fast together, and learning about financial management at an early age. Hopefully what we give is useful for the younger siblings,’ he said.

This activity is expected to not only provide happiness for orphans and poor children, but also to increase awareness of the importance of sharing and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood in the holy month of Ramadan. Through this Growing and Sharing Together Programme, the children get a different experience. They are invited to directly visit a department store and get the opportunity to choose and determine the items they need themselves. Thus, the benefits can be felt directly and maximally.

There, the orphans and poor children met the older siblings who would accompany them while shopping. Cheers were heard from the children, a sign of excitement, filling the corner of a shop. Some visited the display of Muslim clothing, while others visited the display of sandals or footwear.
