EAST JAVA — Dompet Dhuafa handed over the benefit program as assistance in the procurement of medical devices for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) room from the Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji (BPKH) to complete the health facilities of Hasyim Asyari Hospital, Jombang, on Friday (2/12/2022).
Dompet Dhuafa and BPKH started the event with a gathering and pilgrimage to the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, warmly welcomed by the Caretaker of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, KH. Abdul Hakim Mahfudz or familiarly called Gus Kikin.
Also present was the Chairman of the Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation Management Rahmad Riyadi, Representative of the Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng Foundation Gus Gofar, Member of the BPKH Implementing Board Amri Yusuf, Head of the Benefit Division of BPKH Agung Sri Hendarsa, Director of Dompet Dhuafa Medika dr. Zakaria, Director of Hasyim Asyari Hospital dr. Arya, General Manager of Waqf Bobby Manullang, and General Manager of PPW Iqbal.
Rahmad Riyadi expressed gratitude for procuring medical devices to complete adequate health facilities at Hasyim Asyari Hospital. According to him, this hospital is the result of collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa and the Waqf-based Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School Foundation for the community, especially dhuafa patients.
“Alhamdulillah, we can gather in this blessed momentum in the context of handing over medical equipment from BPKH. Thank you for supporting this program,” he said when giving a speech at Hasyim Asyari Hospital, Jombang, East Java.
He said that all the dynamics of the development of Hasyim Asyari Hospital can be passed together. Rahmad also encouraged the waqf-based hospital to be able to create an international standard health service system.
“Hopefully this year is over and January (later) we (have) a grand launch. Hopefully, the collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa, Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng, and BPKH will be a blessing and useful,” he said hopefully.
Representative of Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng Foundation Gus Gofar expressed gratitude. He also explained that Hasyim Asy’ari Hospital is a new hospital that did not grow out of a clinic. However, it was directly built into a type C hospital, according to him, there needs to be socialization in the community about the existence of the waqf-based hospital.
“Incidentally, in South Jombang, there is no hospital of this type,” he said.
Gus Gofar also reminded that Hasyim Asyari Hospital is the ideal of Salahuddin Wahid and Parni Hadi. He hopes that it will be realized quickly and become a benefit.
“Alhamdulillah, what Dompet Dhuafa strives for can be realized like this, I think it will take a struggle. Maybe Dompet Dhuafa has already built a hospital. But for Tebuireng, this is the first one. Hopefully, this hospital can operate soon,” he said.
Member of the BPKH Executive Board Amri Yusuf was also grateful for the realization of the Hasyim Asyari hospital. He felt amazed and saluted Dompet Dhuafa for realizing this hospital. He explained there are 3 (three) keys to success so a hospital can develop. The first is to have a great doctor. The second is the completeness of health facilities. The third is the existence of adequate health facilities so that patients who come for treatment will feel served hospitality.
Amri explained hospitality is hospitable service, friendly services, and there is a desire to help patients who come to the hospital. So, the service in the hospital is as comfortable as it is in a hotel. That’s so clear.
The handover ceremony was closed by touring the Hasyim Asyari Hospital and several medical devices to support medical services at the hospital. (Dompet Dhuafa / Hafiz)
