BOGOR, WEST JAVA — Sharing in the holy month of Ramadan can be a moment to get closer to each other. For this reason, on Wednesday (27/3/2024), before the time to break the fast, Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia distributed iftar packages and worship tools in the form of prayer mats, mukena, and sarongs to residents of Pedurenan, Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency.
The 250 packages of iftar food and 25 packages of worship tools were successfully distributed to the Darussalam Mosque, Pedurenan. The breakfasting event was attended by the Dompet Dhuafa Team and the Community Service Agency (LPM) as well as local residents and community leaders.
Representative of the Darussalam Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM), Mukhlis Susanto (38), gave a positive response as well as an expression of gratitude to Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia. According to him, the benefits of sharing are not only about material matters, but the momentum of friendship. He also advised the residents to make the best use of the donation of worship equipment.
‘Meeting like this is also a friendship. Hopefully it will be useful and blessed. Hopefully it can be used as well as possible, yes,’ said Mukhlis.
According to Dompet Dhuafa’s LPM Programme Officer, Ahmad Kurniawan, almost all local residents are factory workers who earn below the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR). Therefore, the distribution of iftar packages and prayer tools from Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia has reached the right hands.
‘Given that the average resident works as a labourer and earns below the UMR, the distribution of iftar packages and prayer tools will be very meaningful to them. In addition, this moment can strengthen the bond of ukhuwah islamiyah between Dompet Dhuafa and residents,’ said Kurniawan.
One of the beneficiaries of this sharing action, Misar (61), said that he was very happy and grateful to receive an iftar meal package and prayer tools from Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia. Since eight years of being a marbot at the Darussalam Mosque, he admitted that this was the first time he had witnessed the kindness of sharing iftar packages and prayer tools.
‘I am very happy and grateful. It feels very different when you get prayer tools from other people, you feel cared for. It will definitely be useful and hopefully a blessing. I hope Dompet Dhuafa and Tokopedia will always be successful,’ said Misar emotionally. (Dompet Dhuafa).
