CAIRO, EGYPT — Dompet Dhuafa, as part of the Indonesian Humanitarian Alliance (IHA), dispatched a Humanitarian Team on Friday (17/11/2023), via Egypt, to oversee the delivery of aid to Palestine from donors in Indonesia. The Humanitarian Team delegation is led by Arif Rahmadi, who also serves as the Head of the Disaster Management Center (DMC) at Dompet Dhuafa.
Upon arrival in Cairo, Egypt, the team immediately coordinated with various parties, including the Indonesian Embassy, ERC (Egyptian Red Crescent), UPA (Egypt’s National Procurement Agency focused on Health and Medical Equipment), local partners, and other strategic stakeholders.
In Egypt, the Dompet Dhuafa Humanitarian Team also conducted checks on the procurement of goods needed for aid to Palestine, especially Gaza, at a logistics warehouse in Egypt with the local partner GHIRASS. The prepared aid includes food, mineral water, medical kits, and winter supplies.

Arif Rahmadi expressed Dompet Dhuafa’s deep concern for the people of Gaza and their desire to assist them. Therefore, Dompet Dhuafa wanted to check and directly conduct Quality Control on the aid for Palestine that will be sent by local partners in Egypt. This is to ensure that the prepared aid is of the highest quality for the people of Gaza.
“We are also coordinating with IHA in preparing this aid. Currently, (the aid has) reached 11 humanitarian trucks that will be sent through the El-Arish route, then to the Rafah Crossing, and into Gaza,” continued Arif.

Since the Israeli attacks on Palestine, Dompet Dhuafa, along with the Indonesian Humanitarian Alliance (IHA), has been continuously raising aid to assist the Palestinian people with various efforts. The concentration of Israeli attacks on Gaza has been intense, causing significant damage to public facilities and residences, as well as casualties, which have reached tens of thousands of lives.
