TANGERANG — Dompet Dhuafa through the Institute of Independence (IK) with PT Paragon Corp officially opened the Paradaya Movement Program – Barista Training Batch 2 on Monday (04/11/2024). This activity is an initiative aimed at producing professional baristas and increasing competence in the coffee industry. The Barista Training took place at the Karawaci Institute of Independence Main Campus with ten selected participants.
For eight days, the participants will receive various training materials covering hard skills in coffee brewing. Such as brewing techniques, the use of professional coffee tools, and serving standards. The training is led by Syaiful Bari, an experienced Q Arabica Grader, who will guide participants through each stage of coffee making, while teaching coffee industry best practices.

In addition to technical skills, the training also emphasizes the development of soft skills that are essential for the working world. This includes the ability to interact with customers, service ethics and time management.
Abdurrahman Usman, Director of the Dompet Dhuafa Institute of Independence, said that this training not only provides technical skills, but also opens up real career opportunities for participants in the coffee industry.
“The Paradaya Movement program is expected to not only equip participants with practical skills, but also with the professional attitude and mentality needed in a competitive work environment,” he said.

The Paradaya Movement program is the result of a strategic collaboration between Dompet Dhuafa through the Institute of Independence and PT Paragon Corp designed to encourage sustainable economic empowerment through the improvement of relevant skills in the world of work. This training is expected to produce graduates who are able to compete in the job market, open their own coffee business, or work as baristas in various leading cafes and coffee shops.
The training will run until November 12, 2024, with the hope that graduates will be ready to enter the growing coffee industry. The Paradaya Batch 2 program also strengthens Dompet Dhuafa and Paragon’s commitment to community economic empowerment through work skills-based training. (Dompet Dhuafa)
