JAKARTA — Actor and young entrepreneur, Irwansyah, visited the Dompet Dhuafa counter at Pondok Indah Mall (PIM), South Jakarta on Wednesday (12/4/2023). There, Zaskia Sungkar’s husband fulfilled the zakat fitrah required for every Muslim. Not only paying zakat for himself and his wife, Irwansyah also paid zakat for his 2-year-old child.
In the era of technology like today, zakat can be cashed anywhere. However, Irwansyah instead chose to pay his zakat directly at the Dompet Dhuafa counter. According to him, paying zakat directly at the Dompet Dhuafa counter has various advantages. One of them, he can get information about the distribution and who the beneficiaries are.

In addition, muzaki can also fulfil other zakat obligations, such as zakat maal, zakat profession, fidyah, kafarat, student donations, waqf, and many more.
After a while, after fulfilling zakat fitrah, Irwansyah then paid zakat maal for himself. He also talked with amil/fundraiser at the counter about the programs currently being carried out by Dompet Dhuafa.
“I just paid zakat fitrah and zakat maal at Dompet Dhuafa, precisely at the counter of Dompet Dhuafa Pondok Indah Mall, South Jakarta. Dompet Dhuafa makes it easy for all of us to fulfill zakat. So it’s delicious, we go to the mall, while shopping looking for something, we can immediately give zakat,” he said.

Irwansyah invited the public to participate in fulfilling zakat at Dompet Dhuafa. Because, Dompet Dhuafa has provided many convenience services in zakat. In addition, Dompet Dhuafa has also proven to be trustworthy and credible in distributing zakat funds
“Those people ask a lot. ‘ Uh, where am I zakat, who is it to?’ Sometimes we reach out to people who are zakat recipients. Now that’s not to be wrong because there are provisions.”
“God willing, Dompet Dhuafa has conducted a survey, has been screened, so that it knows better who deserves to receive zakat funds,” he concluded.

Before paying zakat, Amil reminded Irwansyah to read the intention first. After the zakat was paid via debit card, Amil immediately submitted proof of payment to Irwansyah.
