JAKARTA — Doing good to orphans is not only limited to solving their hunger and thirst during fasting. But more than that, they also need a sense of joy and happiness. Dompet Dhuafa has always rolled out various programmes and actions to care for orphans by filling their hearts so that smiles of happiness appear. One of these acts of care is done by sharing Orphan Gifts in the month of Ramadan. This will also feel more beneficial when many parties are involved.
To realise the widespread provision of Orphan Gifts, Dompet Dhuafa collaborated with the band J-Rocks, holding #BerbagiMusik at Bajawa Kopi Kemang, South Jakarta, Thursday (21/3/2024) night. Hundreds of J-Rocks fans (J-Rockstars) packed the cafe. They sang, made music, and shared together. This event was a collaboration of kindness between Dompet Dhuafa, J-Rocks, and Bajawa Kopi to care for orphans.
J-Rocks and Bajawa Kopi deliberately wanted to invite their fans and customers to care for the less fortunate orphans by giving Kado Yatim. Both entrusted the mandate to Dompet Dhuafa as a partner of kindness who will later distribute the results of the fundraising collected.

Not only at Bajawa Kopi Kemang, the band that owns the song ‘Kau Curi Lagi’ will also be at Bajawa Kopi Bogor on 24 March 2024 and at Bajawa Kopi Depok on 30 March 2024. The performance time is the same, which is after Isha or after Tarawih prayers.
Before the music started, Dompet Dhuafa’s Retail Fundraising Manager, Yudha Andilla, delivered a call for kindness to the audience. He invited the visitors of Bajawa Kopi Kemang at that time not to hesitate to participate in acts of kindness with J-Rocks. According to him, caring can come from anyone, no matter the place, and no matter the time.
‘This collaboration was initiated by J-Rocks and Bajawa Kopi as a form of mutual kindness for caring for others, especially for orphans. Dompet Dhuafa is also present as a partner of kindness to ensure that this kindness movement runs well, is trustworthy, and is channeled to the right target,’ said Yudha.

The vocalist and lead guitarist of the band J-Rocks, Iman Taufik, in between songs, also said the same thing. He admitted that he had repeatedly accompanied Dompet Dhuafa in various acts of kindness. Of course, through #BerbagiMusik events like the one that took place at that time. That’s how the J-Rocks took a chance in an act of kindness. He then emphasised to the J-Rockstars, that no matter how much donation is given to this action, the benefits will be extraordinary for the orphans.
‘Don’t worry and don’t be afraid to start something good from small. No matter how much, no matter how small your contribution is, it will definitely be very beneficial for our orphaned brothers and sisters who are less fortunate,’ he exclaimed.
Some of the donations for Kado Yatim have been collected from the box that runs during #BerbagiMusik to the audience. Some were collected through QRIS payments next to the stage.
