DEPOK, WEST JAVA — A song called ‘Ceria’ from the band J-Rocks became the anthem that opened the #BerbagiMusik event at Bajawa Coffee Depok on Saturday (30/3/2024). J-Rocks’ performance that night aroused the joy of hundreds of pairs of eyes of visitors there. They sang along and shared their happiness.
Yes, the happiness was aimed at caring for orphans in the momentum of #RamadanMendekatkan. Collaborating with DDTV and Bajawa Coffee, J-Rocks’ performance at Bajawa Coffee Depok closed Dompet Dhuafa’s #BerbagiMusik Ramadan 1445 H series entitled “PDKT (Approach to God)”. Previously, the #BerbagiMusik event with J-Rocks had also taken place at Bajawa Coffee Kemang, South Jakarta on 21 March 2024 and Bogor on 24 March 2024.
J-Rocks guitarist, Sony, in his prologue on stage recounted the beginning of J-Rocks’ encounter with Dompet Dhuafa. At that time during the Covid-19 pandemic, many musicians including J-Rocks also felt the impact.
‘The beginning of J-Rocks and Dompet Dhuafa was during the last pandemic. Many music stages have not been able to ‘run’ again. Then together with DDTV we played online, with the aim of sharing too. From that sharing, why do we also want to share again, to be part of goodness. Alhamdulillah, we are in love with Dompet Dhuafa until now,’ said Sony.
‘What is certain is that we are happy to be able to stay in touch and share through music. It’s a blessing and a gift too,’ added Iman, vocalist of J-Rocks.

In this month of Ramadan 1445 AH, doing good to orphans is not only limited to solving their hunger and thirst during fasting. But more than that, they also need a sense of happiness. Dompet Dhuafa continues to roll out various programmes and actions to care for orphans by filling their hearts with smiles of happiness. This act of care can be done by sharing gifts in the month of Ramadan. However, this will feel even greater benefits when many parties are involved.
This event was also held as one of the concrete manifestations of the kindness movement in the month of Ramadan 1445 H with the title #BerbagiMusik. J-Rocks and Bajawa Coffee deliberately wanted to invite their fans and customers to care for disadvantaged orphans. Both of them believe in Dompet Dhuafa as a partner of kindness who will later channel the results of the fundraising collected.
Before the music started to play, Dimas Muttakhin as Community Retail Fundraising Dompet Dhuafa on his occasion explained the call for kindness to the visitors of Bajawa Coffee Depok so that they would not hesitate to participate in the action of sharing happiness with J-Rocks. According to him, caring can come from anyone, regardless of the place, and at any time.
‘This is inspirational, while making music while sharing happiness. J-Rocks is one of the inspiring bands and Bajawa Coffee is also amazingly caring. So together with Dompet Dhuafa, we want to share that happiness, especially our title for orphans. Especially in Ramadan, the rewards for kindness are multiplied,’ Dimas said.

At the end of the event, Neo Robby Subarjo, Entertainment Director of Bajawa Coffee, expressed his appreciation to Dompet Dhuafa and J-Rocks. He also hopes that this collaboration can continue and there are good programmes that are present, especially for education in remote areas of Indonesia.
‘I was also amazed, sharing but through music. Especially this Ramadan, hopefully the goodness will multiply. Hopefully after Ramadan we will have another collaboration, we can do good for education in remote areas too,’ said Robby.
