JAKARTA — The Jakarta Humanity Festival (Jakhumfest) 2023 has officially opened on Sunday (29/1/2023). This event took place at Pos Bloc, Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta. However, actually this humanitarian festival event by Dompet Dhuafa has taken place since last Saturday (28/1/2023).
The opening ceremony was attended by Yayat Supriyatna as Secretary of Dompet Dhuafa Republika Foundation, Hasan Jaidi Tarigan as Egm of PT. Pos Indonesia, Maya Nuraini as Chairman of Humanesia, and Dandy Esviyansyah as chairman of Jakhumfest 2023, Arif Rahmadi Haryono as GM of Dompet Dhuafa Strategic Alliance and Advocacy, Dian Mulyadi as GM Corporate Secretary of Dompet Dhuafa, and Udhi Tri Kurniawan as GM of Branch Development and Independence of Dompet Dhuafa.
The opening of Jakhumfest 2023 was marked by the sound of a trumpet which was simultaneously blown by the management of Dompet Dhuafa and PT. Pos Indonesia.
This year’s Jakhumfest, Dompet Dhuafa raised two issues at once as the main program. The two programs are Indonesia Mendengar program and the recovery of Cianjur after the earthquake. By carrying the tagline #IniTentangKita (#ItsAboutUs), the Indonesia Mendengar program targets a focus on helping hearing-impaired friends.
Yayat Supriatna said, Dompet Dhuafa was grateful that it continued to gain the trust of the society to keep taking part in providing benefits for others. Dompet Dhuafa’s main task is to improve the quality of life of the society, in terms of spirituality, economy, and social.
“I invite Dompet Dhuafa friends to come together to provide more benefits for underprivileged people so that they become a more qualified society. Hopefully Dompet Dhuafa will be able to continue to provide more benefits for the society,” he said.
Jakhumfest 2023 has several series of events, namely Humanitalk (Talkshow), workshops, and Sound of Humanity (SOH). In addition, there is also a photography exhibition of camera shots by Dompet Dhuafa humanitarian photographers.
The series of talk shows include financial planning, mental health, and volunteering. Meanwhile, the workshop session was filled by Seratan Studio, silang.id, ruang hening, pojok kenangan, ngakarya, VR Kebencanaan, and pokok cerita. Then in the peak event there will be SOH with musicians Marjinal, Mocca, The Rain, and Chiki Fawzi.
Hasan Jaidi welcomed the event well. “PT Indonesia proudly convey that we’re happy to be involved in this Jakhumfest event. Hopefully this event will be successful and continue to run smoothly so that it can achieve its goal, that is humanity,” he said.
Interestingly, this 3rd humanitarian event is friendly to friends with disabilities, because in each series of events there will be a translator who will translate to the friends with disabilities.
