PARUNG, BOGOR — Kampung Silat Jampang (KSJ) held a Grand Dhikr activity, opening together and distributing Ramadan Parcels for martial artists. The activity occurred at Masjid Al Madinah, Madina Zone Area Dompet Dhuafa on Tuesday (18/04/23).
Also present in this activity was Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Dr. H Eddie Mardjuki Nalapraya as the Honorary Council, KH. Ahmad Shonhaji, S.Ag, MM, as the Board of Trustees of KSJ, and the dhikr activity was led directly by Ustaz Arif Rosyadi as Imam II DKM Al Madinah. Herman Budianto as GM of Da’wah and Cultural Services also told how the early KSJ was established.
“In the past, this area was a red zone, at night there was a lot of prostitution along the way. So we approach the surrounding community, one of which is the silat culture approach,” he said.
“Therefore, we invite them to stay in touch, gather, we invite them to make this silat better and more productive. So it’s not just a ‘heroes’ event. This means that with silat they can excel and be directed with good moral education,” said Herman.

Furthermore, Herman hopes that with martial arts, they will feel proud. Because silat can act as a means of self-actualization and develop the economy by opening training.
“In the past, there were only 6 martial arts colleges, now there are 55 martial arts colleges. Then we develop the university by introducing how to manage a good management system, “explained Herman.
In addition, it is also explained related to the activities of the Grand Dhikr Pesilat.
“One side of what this activity is targeting is spiritual issues. That their silat talent, which is synonymous with the style of ‘champion thugs’, is then brought closer to worship, one of which is this dhikr, then we soften the side of the ‘champion’ with remembrance and remembering Allah. Last year we made Shalawat Akbar. The point is a kind of spirituality training for silat teachers and their members,” Herman added.
By remembrance together, it is also hoped that these fighters can become well-rounded and empowered martial figures, of course, by the vision and mission of Dompet Dhuafa as a silat figure with excellent and gentle characters.
For information, this activity is also open to silat universities in general, especially for KSJ itself. In addition to the Grand Dhikr, the event was also continued with iftar together. A total of 150 iftar packages were distributed to the participants who attended and 50 packages of Ramadan Parcels for the fighters.
“Alhamdulillah, I didn’t expect to go home with this remembrance together, I even got the sustenance of the Ramadan Parcel, thank you,” said one of the Ramadan Parcel beneficiaries. (Dompet Dhuafa/Awalia R)
