With this initiative, Dompet Dhuafa aims to reduce discrimination, improve welfare, and create equality for people with disabilities. In addition, the Blind Concert also aims to expand awareness in the community that non-visually impaired and visually impaired people have the same right to enjoy music without barriers.

‘The concept of this Blind Concert hopes to open the minds of non-visually impaired friends. This time we give experience to the audience, what if they are in a blind position in enjoying music. We want to create equality for people with disabilities,’ said Dedi Fadlil, Dompet Dhuafa’s Creative Content Manager.

This event promotes the message of the importance of equalisation in life and encourages social interaction regardless of differences. Through this concert, it is hoped that the community can be more sensitive and moved to join hands, supporting the blind.

Dedi also explained that this event is not only limited to entertainment, but also a form of invitation to the community to work together to provide support to the blind.

‘We want people to care more and contribute to creating an inclusive environment. This support can be in the form of donations to a change in perspective towards people with disabilities,’ said Dedi.

In addition to the unique concert experience, the event also offers a variety of exciting activities that will move the hearts of the audience. Some of these include asharing session, acharity experience, and a chance for the audience to enjoy a brewed coffee amidst the cool concert atmosphere.

Previously, Dompet Dhuafa had successfully held a similar event entitled ‘Neda Waditra Silent Concert’, which received extraordinary appreciation. One of them was expressed by Susi Ratna Dewi, a person with a disability.
‘Thank God, God gave me the opportunity to be here. This is really for us, and we feel the same as everyone, feeling our confidence that we are the same as everyone, can be here and have the same goal,’ explained Susi.
